Got a new PC, started exploring NAS storage because the PC only had a 512 GB SSD. A buddy at work suggested replacing the SSD with a 4 TB drive. I purchased the model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage, which match my previous Mac with an Intel I7 processor. The speed improvement is very noticeable, even for things like loading web pages. The Bluetooth keyboard and mouse work very smoothly for me, although the mouse might be small for someone with big hands. I like having the TouchID sensor on the keyboard. I'm an electrical engineer and work from home and this fit my need s perfectly. I have two networks, one secure network for business and the other for home. This NAS has 4 NICs (2x 10Gbe) and (2x2.5Gbe) which would allow me to manage the NAS for 4 independent networks. I've always used SandDisk memory cards and never experienced any problems. I am currently using the 512 GB 200MB/s card in a Leica Q3. It usually takes about a sec to write to the card which is suitable for this type of camera/ shooting experience. 5 |
