Underground Weather For Indianapolis

I moved from a VR1 to this lens after trying it out at the Indianapolis 500. Nikon has made so many changes to both the physical exterior and insides of this go-to sports lens that the upgrade is seamless. I'll be using it in work mode for the first time at next week's NHRA race and looking forward to that. The lighter weight (by almost 4 ounces) is another great selling point.

Drove from Alberta, Canada to Indianapolis to visit my American relatives and view the eclipse. I had B&H deliver to their American address which worked well. Given the widespread reports of counterfeit eclipse glasses I much preferred to deal with a reputable outfit like B&H.

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use.

Solid takes abuse perfect for poking the gopro into strange places underwater and underground.

So far so good! Using as a backup power supply for an underground dog fence and so far is working great.

We mostly use it to protect our lens for our camera at work, being as we drag the camera through steam tunnels, in mud trenches, inside underground vaults, and through all sorts of other environments. The filter screws on firmly to the end of the lens and protects the lens from scratches, dirt, dust, etc. without distorting any of the pictures.

I use 50+ of these routinely for delicate electronic sensors that are buried underground in very wet Florida environments for over 6 months at a time. I love the color-changing pattern on the exterior of the pack that let's me now when it's due for replacement or refreshing in a microwave. I used to use the metal type that needed to be baked for 3 hours, but those too long to replenish and were small in comparison.

This arm is exactly what I needed. I made an oversized copy stand to photograph old city maps and drawings of the underground utilities. I'm using the arm on top of a ProMaster Super Heavy Duty SLR II Tripod. Had to put a couple of weights on the tripod just to make sure it wouldn't tip over with the arm fully extended.

We have had 2 electrical storms that have fried our switches connected to underground network wiring. I have installed these at both ends of outdoor run and have not had any surges since. Seem like they work as advertised.

Bought this lens for a trip to the Kansas underground salt museum. Lighting conditions were poor to say the least. Did not disapoint! Shot in very dim conditions @1/8 second (1600 ISO) without noticable blur. Goodbye flash!
