Underground Weather Truth Or Consequences

Typical NiSi quality without any unanticipated consequences. 5 |

Nikon must reconsider their prices. Their are consequences for overpricing the basics. 5 |

This bag is the truth. I love it, and no one can convince me to change again. 5 |

If the flap of a butterfly's wing can have consequences half way around the world, then opening up this bad boy for the first time surely resulted in at least a few severe weather incidences. It is every bit of its 72 length, so make sure pets, small children, and your 4k mirrorless camera on the tripod are not in the 'blast zone'. It's a very sturdy 5-in-1, with a heavy-duty spring steel frame that keeps it flat once opened. I have had it mounted on a reflector arm, outside, in a breeze, and it held its shape great. The gold/black/silver/special silver reversible cover fit well without being difficult to put back on. I am 6'6, and have a pretty good arm span, but I could not collapse it back down for packing unless I held the bottom edge between my feet and then used both hands to twist and push down. Like any collapsible reflector, it takes a bit of practice. Overall, I am very pleased with it, and would get another one if needed. 5 |

I've seen too many photos of lenses that have been accidentally dropped and suffered the consequences, some very expensive. Thankfully I've never dropped a lens or camera, but at least I'm prepared now. 5 |

It's a trade off whether to over design the boom and suffer the consequences of carrying what feels like a steel girder or making a compromise in weight and hope for the best. I hung a DigiBee with large light box over some long table products and found I had made the right choice. I wish I had steel girders on a higher ceiling, but with a properly placed counter weight this managed admirably. Light weight but not weak. I suggest spraying some dry lube on the parts that slip together, because they are snug and can become a two person job to separate otherwise. Very happy with this purchase. Of course I don't think anyone has ever gone wrong buying Manfrotto. 5 |

The purpose of a lens hood is not only to protect from stray light entering the lens, but also to protect the lens from the consequences of many accidents. This Canon hood was designed for, and perfectly fits, my EF50mm 1.8 STM. It also reverses to make the lens easier to fit in my bag or transport. 5 |

As with all things Wimberley, this is beautifully made. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't skimp on something as critical as this. You don't want it to fail. The consequences are too great when you consider a $2K camera body and $8K lens are depending on it working properly. A friend has the older version, and this one truly is much better. 5 |

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use. 5 |
