I bought this so that I could keep my Nikon D750 with Sigma 100-400 lens easily available during my butterfly survey hikes. It works very well. The case has just enough pockets to carry a few supplies, but not so many as to make it unnecessarily large. It has numerous ways to attach it to oneself or a pack if desired. It is ruggedly built, with high quality stitching and reinforcements. It is large enough that when I pull my camera in and out, the case does not grab the lens and change the focal length (Sigma focuses by pulling and pushing on the lens). There are small details that show how well thought out it is. For example, the top flap opens away from the body, meaning it can be left open and not get in the way of accessing the camera. Shot for many years with the Nikon D750 and wanted to upgrade. I know everything is going mirrorless, however I have 5 lenses for my DSLR which has been a great camera. So I decided to stick with the DSLR's and upgrade to one of the greatest cameras ever made. Glad I did. Only been out shooting a few times so far but this Nikon D850 is simple put - One Great Camera. Maybe someday when Nikon makes an affordable D850 type mirrorless camera I just may make a change. For now, my D750 backup for my New D850 will suit me just fine. Great Camera even in 2022. 5 |
