Underwater Camera Phone App

The camera is well made , setup and activation is easy , phone app is easy and works well

I took shots at dark. The camera saw what I could not. It is going to be quite useful in my underwater adventures.

I have a cellular phone based app that I use for my intercom. So I use these so my camera ops in the field can clamp them to the camera tripods and put the phone right in front of them. They work awesome. Highly recommend and will be buying more.

This worked great for the night of the last lunar eclipse when I wanted to do some extended photography of the moon with a lot of images. Canon's app that connects wirelessly to the phone is okay, but it lacks a boatload of features that need to be adjusted on the camera which requires constant disconnects and reconnects of the phone to the camera. This remote made it a lot easier for me to make frequent changes of settings on the camera and rapidly take photos on the tripod without all the extra vibration of handling the camera, and without having to use the Canon app on my phone.

Good camera, lots of options to customize it to your use pattern. The case from this kit barely fits the camera, especially tight fit when you carry an extra battery. Wifi connection to iPhone app works great. Although the absence of GPS in the camera means you have to remember to turn on GPS logging on your phone app before using the camera, which drains your phone battery a lot more. No Mac wifi syncing app, so I have to go back to connecting the sd card to my MacBook. Don't sync all pictures to your phone if you plan to later import from the sdcard because some metadata (like lens info) doesn't transfer to the MacOS Photo.app through the iPhone syncing method.

I was shooting with a X-E1 before and this camera is a most excellent upgrade. I love all the new features and even though the Phone app is a little wonky it still works for me. My girl loves that I can download my shots right to my phone and send them to her. She is very happy she doesn't have to wait. Do read the manual there are a lot of features in this little body.
