Underwater Diving Cameras Digital

I'm a recreational underwater photographer. Diving is expensive. I need every advantage I can get when taking pictures. It only makes sense to use the best possible film. Velvia 50 is the best film for UW. After flooding two digital camera UW housings I went back to Nikonos cameras and my pictures are better than digital ever was. 5 |

This product is watertight, easy to transport, and convenient for travel. I was surprised at the quality of the make, the features and the true watertightness considering that the price is very low. This is not inherently a professional solution by any means, but if you carefully consider what it does have to offer, test out your rig and how to use it under water, and understand its limitations, this is a great product. I do not see a significant image degradation from the plastic front element, however, upon careful and detailed inspection I'm sure there are some defects and basic light changes that occur because this is not crystal or glass and is not made to the standards of a 5-12K underwater housing. Again, understand what you are buying, how you will be using it, and what your expectations are. I believe that this unit, if well cared for, could provide acceptable protection and image quality for professional and amateur use for many trips. Eventually it will probably suffer a tear or other damage that will render it unusable, but it costs under $100. I purchased this for a trip to try out underwater photography while snorkeling and swinging in clear waters and reefs. This is not in any way usable for diving unless its weighted or you balance it with your diving rig. It floats VERY well and will bring you right back up even when diving down while snorkeling. One of the things that was very hard to work around, and is definitely a CON, is that the clear plastic back that allows you to see your LCD screen will stick to your LCD screen and be very hard to see you composition and focus under water. You will nee to find a way to improve this situation before expecting to be able to use this underwater and in heavily glaring settings. Overall this is a great opportunity to try out some underwater photography with good results, or keep you camera dry while shooting in and around water. 5 |

Easy to handle underwater, lightweight and excellent handle grips. Easy to adjust prior to diving. I paired it with 8" arms and video lights. Works great with my GoPro 8. 5 |

I added a LED light then my gopro in an underwater case for some scuba diving and I could not believe just how much it floated. I will have to figure out a better way to attach it to my BC to keep it from floating in front my face. I am impressed 5 |

I went diving for the first time and bought this housing to take my Canon T3i underwater with me. I only dove 7 meters/21 feet, but it worked perfectly fine for me. No leaks or moisture inside at all and it fit my Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens perfectly. There was plenty of room for the flash too. I couldn't really change settings underwater while diving, although I could in the housing above water. I was hoping to switch to movie mode at some point, but wasn't able to. In reality, I don't think I would have been able to hold it straight in front of me steady enough while diving in order to do video anyway. That's probably just because I have no diving experience though. I set it to A+ (scene intelligent auto) mode for the underwater shots so I wouldn't have to change any manual settings. I had to let almost all of the air out in order to get it below the surface of the water, even with the lead weight in the case. Since it wasn't a deep dive, I didn't have any problems with the housing shrinking around the camera at all.I was able to take some photos that I'm really happy with underwater and even above water. The glass doesn't seem to blur the image at all EXCEPT for when you're above water and have water drops on the glass. I also used this case while kayaking in the rain and those shots are blurry. 5 |

I purchased this product for a Canon D10 underwater digital Camera. I was looking for a bag that would not ruin if it got wet, was in the sun or on the beach. This bag is small and has a draw string to pull the pouch closed. It also has a clip attached to the bag that makes it easily attachable to a backpack, messenger briefcase or belt loops. It's small, compact, soft and inexpensive. It is not crush proof so I would not recommend it for a camera or equipment that is not too rugged. The Canon D10 is waterproof and shockproof so this was a perfect fit to protect it from scratches and other dings, while providing it with a protective carrying case. For the Price you cannot go wrong. 5 |
