Unfiltered Reverse Image Search

This is my second C920s webcam. It has great features and a beautiful image. It's basically plug & play right out of the box, with one major exception. I immediately realized that the image is reversed upon plugging the webcam in. Why the default image is reversed kind of blows my mind. There were no directions on how to reverse the image. I went on the Logitech website and searched for a solution. Nada. I searched Google, too. All the solutions were complicated and convoluted. I ended up downloading 2 or 3 programs that didn't solve my problem. Since this is my second C920s, I went back to my first installation of this webcam on my other PC. The image was right on. So, I checked and I have a program called Logitech Capture. I checked its settings, and sure enough, under the Source 1 settings there's an Advanced Settings slider. Sliding that to On opens up another set of settings. One of them is horizontally flip source. Checking that check box flips the image to the proper point of view. Why Logitech would reverse the default image is beyond me. And, why they don't provide instructions on how to flip the image is crazy. Anyway, just downloading this simple (free) program from the Logitech website solves the issue. All is well. I'm very happy with the webcam now.

I've seen some folks write wishing these had removable filters. The filters are listed as non removable, but, this is not true. I bought them thinking i would bust them removing a filter, to mount it on my camera, since a proper solar filter for my lens would cost about $200. To my delight, i found that if you roll back the rubber housing, these filters easily, and non-destructively simply screw out, leaving you with a great pair of binoculars for regular viewing of landscapes, birds, etc.. I have left them with one solar filter, and one unfiltered side.If i want to look at the sun, i just leave the lens cap on the unfiltered side, and view the sun through the filtered side. And i mounted the removed filter in an old lens cap, so, i now have a great solar filter for my camera, as well. Couldn't be more delighted.

As you know filters help with image quality during the day. I was in search of filters for my new GoPro Hero 9 and decided to go with the Freewell 4K series. I'm glad I did, they are well built, and do exactly what I bought them for. I would highly recommend. - JM
