I use this tripod with a large and somewhat heavy Matterport camera and a Blackmagic cinema camera setup. It is perfectly stable and for these roles. It’s on the heavy side of tripods in general. But it is SOLID! Great purchase for the money.

I have an A7iii and the grip is incredibly easy to use. Install/uninstall is quick and easy, there is also a nice little spot for the battery door to mount to so you don't lose it. Having two batteries in the camera is very handy. Used my camera the last couple of days out at some auto racing, never needed to change the batteries out while shooting for about 8-9 hours a day. Camera also feels better in the hands since there is a little more to hold onto in both portrait and landscape positions. Happy with the purchase and if you take a lot of portrait shots, pretty much a must.

It does the job with my Blackmagic. I would not use any third party in my camera.

I have been using 2 decimator MD-LX's in our setup for a couple years now, but was never happy with the image quality I was getting from our wireless handheld (the other MD-LX was used in converting a computer output so it went unnoticed). I thought it was a problem with the older teradek we use. We had to go mobile recently and I was able to single out the decimator as the issue for the over-contrasted & overall low quality of the image. I swapped the converter out with a blackmagic sdi to hdmi converter and the image vastly improved. Bought this blackmagic 3G bidirectional converter to fill the specific roles the decimator had served in our typical setup, and have received the same results. Much higher quality image that is true to the out-of-camera picture profile. AND its cheaper AND in stock. It also converted a signal from an older iMac to a long sdi run to a stage tv that the MD-LX was not able to do. Plug and play baby. I'll be listing my decimators on ebay since they seem to retain their value as people love them... I will miss the flashy red though =)
