Uninterruptible Power Supply Run Time

I did not start out to want an uninterruptible power supply, but only a very capable surge protector. Once I read about the benefits of an uninterruptible power supply I was convinced I had to have one for my equipment. Initially this unit was on back order and I was sure getting one would be taking a very long time. Thankfully the day came when B&H gave me the email saying my Cyberpower EC850LCD was on it's way. I've had it protecting my computer, Time Machine and external hard drive. So far just this week the unit gave me the time to shut down safely after a short electrical blackout. I know this was a wise purchase and I am grateful to B&H for their commitment to honor my order.

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my uninterruptible power supply on my computer equipment. Less than a week ago we had another power failure that lasted about 3 hours. The EcoFlow River 2 Pro performed better than I had hoped. It transferred power seamlessly and none of my equipment even sensed it had happened. The app made it easy to manage my power usage to insure that the most critical electronics remained available.

I needed a LARGE Uninterruptible Power Source for an industrial grade Flat Bed Printer. It needed to be single phase 208V, 3,000VA output capacity. This unit by APC weighs in at 105 pounds so it's no light weight! Unpackaged and set up in a matter on minutes as the factory default settings is adequate for the intended use. The machine can be configured for use in a data rack where you can set it to for a controlled shutdown of servers and after power is restored a controlled restart, selecting 3 different power zones to restart in sequence to get your network back up and running without any user input needed. It is about the size on a large desktop computer and comes with Data Rack mounting hardware or can be used with included floor stabilizing feet.

Powers my Small HD Indie 7. Love that the power supply threads on so it will never come out while whipping the camera around or run and gun handled stuff. Seemed to be the only cable I could find for my application. Indie 7. on a Red Komodo. I don't like using the dummy battery style

It just arrived today. This is my first Nanlite and on checkout it is in a pretty good sweet spot balancing size, weight, build quality and versatility. The ability to switch between hard, soft light and RGB means it is definitely going to get used a lot. It is also going to stay set up on a stand in the corner of my office for Zoom meetings. Much better than a cheap ringlight for that. It was a hard choice deciding whether to get this, or one of it's bigger siblings in the MixPanel series. This one was on sale and the price was fantastic, so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a plastic frame, not as drop-proof as metal but not as heavy either. The knobs are cheap but functional and it can run on L series batts away from AC. I don't really like having a power supply in the middle of the run, but wisely Nanlite put a loop on it so the supply can hang on a lightstand knob. Not ideal but it seems to work fine in practice. I ran it up 9' high and there was enough cord to get the the ground and then some. The cord from wall to power supply is 9.5 ft., and the power supply adds about 3.5 ft. to that. Another thing I like is that there is a detent on the tilt lock for upright, so it feels pretty secure snapped into that. It seems VERY good for the price, as long as it holds up to wear and tear over the long run.

I can't believe I waited this long to pick up this cable. The P60X and C are undoubtedly the dark horse fixtures in my kit due to their flexibility and portability. Power has always been the drawback. NP-F battery life is disappointing and the included power supply takes up so much space in my carry-on case. Now I can run run the fixture for over 2 hours on a 98wh v-mount and have freed up so much space in my kit by removing the power supply. Definitely worth it.
