Uninterruptible Power Supply Voltage

I use it to provide conditioned power (uninterruptible as well) to my computer and all peripherals. The automatic voltage regulation is as, if not more important to sensitive electronics. Under voltage and over voltage can do bad things to electronics and it is not as apparent as a power outage, spikes, or brownouts. I have another of the same on my TV, cable modem, DVD player as well. You hook it up, it works, you do nothing (except change the battery every couple of years). I have a Mac and their software doesn't run on a Mac. But it is no big deal as you really don't need it.

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my uninterruptible power supply on my computer equipment. Less than a week ago we had another power failure that lasted about 3 hours. The EcoFlow River 2 Pro performed better than I had hoped. It transferred power seamlessly and none of my equipment even sensed it had happened. The app made it easy to manage my power usage to insure that the most critical electronics remained available.

I did not start out to want an uninterruptible power supply, but only a very capable surge protector. Once I read about the benefits of an uninterruptible power supply I was convinced I had to have one for my equipment. Initially this unit was on back order and I was sure getting one would be taking a very long time. Thankfully the day came when B&H gave me the email saying my Cyberpower EC850LCD was on it's way. I've had it protecting my computer, Time Machine and external hard drive. So far just this week the unit gave me the time to shut down safely after a short electrical blackout. I know this was a wise purchase and I am grateful to B&H for their commitment to honor my order.

This power supply is just what I needed as a backup to my OEM unit. Works very well, voltage output is rock steady and clean.

Replaces old security system power supply. Please confirm voltage and amperage before ordering. UL listed. Has third ground pin. Rechargeable security system battery may need to be changed as well. The motorized head requires a specific voltage and current and it's not easy to find. So this power supply is probably your best bet. It just works perfectly with the motorized head and you know it's providing the correct supply, so you can have peace of mind. Construction of the power supply seems to be above average in terms of quality.

I purchased this power supply to power up the STM-1. Just be aware that you have to cut the DC plug end off to connect it to the STM products. I used my VOM to make sure I had polarity correct and then wired it to the STM-1. If you look at the STM-1, and possible the other STM products, this power supply gives the full voltage for the preamp to work at the designed level. If you use a power supply less than what this supplies, the STM does not provide as much of a preamplified signal. Work fine. Get it if you do already have another voltage source for the STM products.
