Universal Media Server Remote Access

I have it hooked up to my router and am using it as storage for a media server. Works like a charm.

Have seen and heard/read about Ubiquiti products for years and finally made a plunge to replace my aging/ancient home network components consisted of dd-wrt flashed access points and a switch with dying ports. Ended up purchasing a) USW Flex Mini 5-Port Gigabit Managed Switch, b) U6 Pro Access Point and c) U6 Access Point in the end. They’ve been up and running with no issues for about a month now. I have pfSense running as my router, DHCP server, and f/w and they’re working together with no issues. The new Unifi components along with Unifi controller/network server (free download with no subscription charge and i’m running it locally) provide a truly “unified” view and current status of my network, which I didn’t have before. Since all of my access points are wired, I cannot speak for their mesh capability. I’m happy with purchase and hoping to add another access point (in-wall version this time) soon. As always, shipping from B&H was fast.

Exactly as described. Works flawlessly on my windows 10 server running my Plex media.

Bought this to serve as a Plex Media Server, on the back of my Synology DS918+. Total overkill, really, but I've been wanting something more powerful than the Synology to transcode high bitrate videos. This NUC more than does the job. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS installs without issues. If you're looking to run a Linux server on one of these, you can't go wrong. Idle usage is ~10W, peak usage around 90W, but it hovers around 50-60W most of the time when it's in use.

Bought this for my home media server and it's a great product for such a low price. Happy as always with this APC!

I use this to switch between a transporter streaming device and an ask 500n media server. It is completely silent annd compact .

I’ve set this machine up to be a secondary machine plus media server. It’s been flawless. I wish I could use it as my main machine given that the one I have to use all day for work is a 2015 MBP. The Mini is so much faster.

First NAS I ever set up. Set up was pretty easy, (I set it up as a Plex Media Server. It’s been running for a couple of weeks and everything is working great!
