I use it to take pet photos - need to get their attention away from the camera, so I stand elsewhere with the remote until they are in the right pose. It sure is better than my TV and VCR remotes, they are pretty directional sensitive.

I don’t have to flip through the booklet searching for my devices’ code. Being able to hook up to 8 devices is great. I was able to connect to my roku steaming box, Apple TV box and TV. There were some features it can’t replicate on the original remote, but for the basic functions, this would do.

We have added some of our own apps and favorites. Tying the tv to Alexa was an added bonus. No problem navigating the television if you do not want to use the remote, just use Alexa! When my the software of my last Samsung Smart Tv could no longer support Netflix, I decided it was time for another. I had a little trouble figuring out how to get the cable TV part of the TV to play when I turn the unit on but now that I have figured it out, I am very happy. There are numerous apps to link to various services which is great. The picture quality can be adjusted to taste as can the sound. The remote is small and efficient but I am also able to use my cable remote to turn the unit on and adjust volume and channels. Overall, I am very pleased.

I purchased a Roku Express a few months ago and the remote used on a Samsung TV is terrible. I think there is problem with the volume buttons. I went through all trouble shooting - no luck Roku's answer is "buy a new remote" which means pay to replace your non-working item (it was like this when I got it).
