Allows me to record from Sony Handycam HDR-CX220 to my DVD recorder. I prefer to do it this way rather than utilizing the computer. Works for me!IN my opinion should have been included in the box with my camcorder.

I find the type of DVD RW makes a lot of difference in my recorder. These worked very well for me, made dozens of recordings without any problems when other type had failed after one recording. Don't give up on DVD RW recording if you have not tried these. THEY WORK!!

My Sony DVD recorder quit recording with Sony DVD's. So I tried Verbatim DVD's and my recorder worked just fine. Verbatum plays back in my other players just fine.

I am using my Toshiba DR420KU DVD Video Recorder to record my favorite shows from PBS as in Masterpiece Theatre using the Maxell 4.7 GB Rewritable DVD-RW discs and the quality of recording from these discs is the greatest. I can format and rewrite with exceptional excellence on the second or third rewrite. I can say it is as close to High Definition as my television.

My client wanted the signal from a Sony EVI-HD1 Color PTZ Camera to feed a consumer DVD Recorder for in-house recording of activities. I gasped at paying twice the amount of the DVD Recorder to make the digital to analog conversion. I tried other cheaper Converters to make the conversion without any luck. I could have saved myself a lot of time on the install if I would have just bought the Mini Converter SDI to Analog by Blackmagic Design first!Yes, it operates a bit hot. Time will tell if that reduces the life of the Converter. But, my solution to my problem was found. After changing the side-mounted switches to the appropriate settings, the image is excellent with aspect ratio intact. There is no users manual included with this Blackmagic product. And, the switch settings chart on the back of the converter may be confusing to some. But, it is a plug-and-play type of product. When in doubt, just change the switches until the conversion is correct for your equipment. It will only take a minute or two of trial and error before you are satisfied.

Where I exercise, I have a cable box and a DVD recorder that I use while exercising. I needed a way to switch sources to the speaker system, which uses a 3.5mm connector. This works well. I did not detect any crosstalk or noise from this switch. It just does what I need.

My VHS-to-DVD recorder is older and very picky about what DVDs it will accept. I've changed brands, tried different speeds -- nothing else seems to work with it but these 2x DVDs. I'm thankful that B&H still carries these DVDs -- when so many no longer do -- and their prices were great. They were cheaper than other places I found around that still carried this product.
