Updated Firmware For The Home Camera 2018

The Air Remote goes on the hot shoe and, once firmware is updated, gives full control of the B1 lights from the camera. I like being able to control modeling flash and exposure control from the camera; obviously skipping a bunch of setting on each light. In simple parlance, the unit works exactly as it should.

This is an updated review after using it on my Sony A7R II for a couple of weeks. Still works fantastic. You have to update firmware on the camera, remote and lights. We tried it on someone else's A7R II that had old firmware and it would not work until we updated the firmware on the camera. You can shoot right up 1/8000th of second no problem. It's really a game changer for Sony cameras.

I just updated my CineView HE to the current firmware. While I'm not noticing much difference with the transmission itself, there was a notable difference on my ATEM Mini Pro. Camera Input 1 on the ATEM Mini Pro is slightly different than the other camera inputs. When the CineView was connected to the camera 1 input it produced the green and pink hue. After the firmware update, the camera 1 input works normally. Very happy with this update!

With the lens and my Fuji-X camera both updated with the latest firmware, the lens focuses much faster and more accurately for me. It is not the fastest focusing lens in the X line up but it now works just fine for my uses. The bokeh is nice and pleasing to the eye. While focusing the lens makes a little more noise than some of the other X lenses but it is not obnoxiously loud. Some of my high-end Nikon lenses make more noise. The macro is decent. Sharp lens. Small and light. I can carry it in my coat pocket and not know it is there. Before the firmware update I was looking for another solution for a portrait lens. So I am no longer tempted to buy the 56mm 1.2 right now for portraits. Maybe next year! ;)

I'm very pleased that Nikon updated their firmware just in time for me to get a new D850 and not have to mess with XQD.

No complaints about the product, it does exactly what I needed it to do. Updated the firmware on my 135mm AF without any issues.

Super force feedback wheel once you get it updated. Make sure to restart your computer after downloading firmware software, or it wont load it on windows 10, took me quite awhile to figure this out. Update firmware. When you are using on xbox make sure you turn off gamepad controller or the system won't recognize wheel as the controller.

This is an updated review: Using on my Sony a99ii. Very easy to use. Make sure your firmware is up to date, set your flash control to wireless and you are good to go. As a lifetime Minolta/Sony shooter I have been waiting for this kind of support for our products. The HSS is everything I thought it could be and no more using ND filters and 1/200 sync. You can shoot up to 1/8000. This opens the door to so many more types of shoots. I recommend this completely.
