Upgrade Gpu Bios

I've built a lot of computers over the last 30+ years, starting with motherboards that used jumper settings. Builds keep getting easier and this one was the easiest of all. Much of the basic tuning and setup with this MB is automatic. With only the XMP tuning turned on, my I9-14900 processor, with a claimed boost of up to 6mhz, was a solid 5.5mhz+ under 100% load. Improving the case cooling a bit may help, but the performance is already way beyond my needs and expectations. There were only two issues encountered with the build. First was my using a several generations old GPU (980ti) which resulted in no video (am on a waiting list for a current version). Resurrected my old system, found the fix (flashed the GPU's BIOS), and was up and running on the new build in short order. The other problem was a bug in the onboard flash program. Using the GUI buttons to progress through the flash process resulted in an error message. Found a several years old forum response about the same issue. The fix was to double click on the BIOS file name instead of using the GUI buttons. You'd think that a bug like that would have been fixed or at least the instructions would now say to double click the file name. But, no... let the peons suffer. But I digress. I like the motherboard. Truly, the slickest thing is how M.2 SSD's are installed. Flip a tiny rotary lever and the included heat sink comes off. Insert the SSD stick, push it down, flip another rotary lever and the SSD stick clicks into place. The heat sink goes back on the same way. Too slick. If I have a grip it's that adding M.2 SSDs after the install requires pulling the video card. Yeah, I know, waaaahhhh. :-) Good product. Maxed out the heat during the burn-in and had zero crashes. I really do think I'm going to like this build! Highly recommended! 5 |

I'm not an overclocker so this is probably over kill for my build. So far the MOBO is doing as advertised. Bought this for my new ASUS build with i9-13900k. I really like the design and the heatsinks included for future upgrades to PCIE5 nvmes. The RGB lighting puts a nice touch to it all. The BIOS is very easy to use, and a click away to set XMP settings for my DDR5 ram. I did need to update the BIOS FW,but booted on initial set up with the i9. There is room to overclock, but I haven't had the need to beyond the OC minimum of my GPU and CPU using the armoury crate and GPU tweak III. Beyond those OC settings I just don't know enough on how much this MOBO can handle. 5 |

Came quickly and has performed very well! Great to finally find a GPU upgrade. 5 |

Excellent upgrade. But, make sure your Windows10 operating system and computer BIOS are compatible with hard drives greater than 2TB. 5 |

Remember to update your BIos before you try to upgrade. Once the BIos recognized it, and the drivers updated, it works like a 4090 should. Max settings on everything. Should have done it last year, but the price. 5 |

I already had a Ryzen 3950X and hardware capable of moving to the new CPU. I did the BIOS upgrade, got the PC stable, and did the CPU upgrade. No changes were obvious to the OS as far as drivers, etc. But the performance is amazing and blazing fast. I use this with VMware Workstation to test other Windows builds, and also for video encoding. Things move along quite spryly. If you have hardware that will support this CPU, and you can benefit from all the threads, this is the right choice. 5 |

Got this for my son as upgrade to his gaming pc and he loves it. Much faster. Bios is very easy. Ryzen 7 ready 5 |

Case was an upgrade from an old ATX case I had. THe dust filers in the front and bottom to protect the PSU and CPU/GPU are perfect. Noise sounds like air coming from a home HVAC register so you may want to swap in quieter fans. Top of case does not have a dust filter. Glass panel version may be better for noise, I went with mesh due to my GPU pushing its air out of the top instead of the back. 5 |

I ordered it because I have an new GPU that needs allot of power to work. It is definitely strong and quite. So, if you are looking to upgrade you machine for NVIDIA 3090, this power supply can handle. 5 |

This card replaced an RTX 2070. It is larger, requiring some rearrangement of real estate in the case, but I was able to use the same power supply and power connectors because the new card is more power efficient. Bottom line: it was an easy upgrade for +138% graphics performance. The games I used to run on minimal graphics with the GPU at 100% can now run at maximum graphics with the GPU at 80%. This was the exact convergence of price, performance, and ease of upgrade I was looking for. Definitely worth considering. 5 |
