Upgradeable Laptop 2024

I know this is an M1, not even M1Pro, chipset in this laptop. It has 16GB of no-upgradeable RAM. It only has two ports besides the audio one. Still, I don't see a reason to pay for M2 prices. This is plenty enough computer for my needs. I'm not a pro photog and don't need something for that kind of workflow. I do have a work MacBook Pro 16 which is spec'd to the 9's. I know the difference and didn't see the need for me to spend more. This little gem is plenty for me right now. Maybe later I'll get a real beast, but not today. I'm in my happy, photo editing place.

i have tested this with both a Mac and Windows laptop, and am currently using it with a new 2024 Mac (which only has 2x USB-C ports on the rear). Perfect for plugging in USB memory sticks, an old USB printer, and an external USB HDD for Time Machine backup. Positives - very fast (10Gbps), small and compact, great for travel, no drivers needed, Works with multiple O/S. Negative - Well the only thing i can think of is when its on my desk under the Mac, (with the cable going away from you) the Startech logo is upside down! Very minor point, but this is the only negative i can come up with. Highly recommended product, im very pleased with it.

A real step up from prior products- model 5, etc. Great sound, visually attractive and upgradeable with a solid IT structure

Why I bought them- I wanted Incredible lenses that have a solid build, the upgradeable mounting from EF to one day maybe move to a PL. I also wanted par focal focusing, and I did not want super crisp video looking images. I shot these against the Canon cineprimes and they looked every bit as good. There is just something a little special about them. The only negative is they are too heavy to really be handheld but hey, that's why you buy a zoom. Speed on set! Once again B&H is my goto for the good stuff!

I have always purchased and installed this for any Mac that is end user upgradeable. Their lifetime warranty is a great feature and they are true to their word regarding replacing RAM that fails.

The Air 10s is more user friendly than the Air 1, and has a longer range. The firmware is also user upgradeable unlike previous Nissin wireless commanders. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable wireless commander for Nissin flash units.

Still an awesome iPad in 2024!
