Upgrading Arcade Machine

I have an arcade machine with over 30,000 games on it. It tears up normal hard drives, makes them run super hot and slow. I have had several hard drives go up on me because it is trying to access to much date. This SSD was expensive but worth every penny. The games run 10 times faster and this hard drive never heats up. If you have a MAME arcade machine this is the answer.

Not a decision to be taken lightly, but this machine is a powerhouse! I am upgrading from the trashcan Mac Pro and already it's saved me time (which = money). I also bought the Promise R4i 32TB MPX module which is almost as big a game changer as the machine itself. Lastly, do yourself a favor and buy your RAM separately - save a ton of money for other things!

Nice machine. I am upgrading from a 2007 15 MP. I like the keyboard.The key stroke response is right on the money. I am not utilizing the Touch Bar to its full capability but it has been helpful. I love the fingerprint feature. Very fast machine, I prefer the 13 size to the 15. The space grey color is very pleasing. The only negative is the charger. I prefer the mag safe. The charge cable is too short and the power block does not have a cord so it must be plugged directly to a receptacle. I have an apple extension cord and a few more cables on order. Nice machine as it should be for the premium price.

I'd been dragging my feet about upgrading from an 09' Mac Pro 8core machine but decided with 4K coming that I needed to make the upgrade. My renders are taking place in 1/2 the time as before and it just sits at idle. Amazing speed in such a small, quiet package. No regrets or buyer's remorse. Performs well for our arcade side art project. very easy to apply with peal and stick backing and and a Bondo plastic spreader to remove bubbles. Great price too. Printed with K3 UltraChrome Inks on Epson 4880. At some point we will probably buy some 3 mil PSA Luster Calendered UV Vinyl Laminate to really protect the artwork.

The well-made and sturdy, almost arcade game style push button knobs are a perfect companion to Adobe Lightroom. One of the most useful gadgets I have purchased. I use them in conjunction with all the other Palette products but they are maybe the most useful. I have set them up to 'Edit in Photoshop', 'Increase Rating', 'Crop Tool', 'Before/After' and 'Undo'. Once you get used to the new way of controlling your workflow, they rock!

I am using the usb corder in combination with a Neutrik usb male/female converter on my custom arcade stick for playstation 3 and xbox 360. It works perfectly, no lag in the cable and is the perfect length for sitting on the couch and playing/practing. + Long cord + Lagless + Easy connecting and disconnecting with no issues. Will purchase again should anything happen to my current cord.
