Upgrading Sound System In Car

I was upgrading from a 2000 analog hifi system. Perhaps not audiophile-grade, but good enough to say that the benchmark was rather high. I purchased a pair of Fives for the living area of my house and I was ready to return them in case I should find the sound quality inferior. Boy, was I mistaken. I am impressed by the quality of the sound, by its fullness, clarity and definition, whether playing for ambiance at low levels or giving more of a boom. This duo is a worthy replacement of my now-retired hifi system and is not going anywhere.

I actually replaced a Sony 1040 receiver with this because of upgrading our TV and Blu-Ray to 4K HDR. We use all Sony products except for our small surround system speakers which are Klipsch. I was concerned about going from top of the line to entry level, but all we have is a small 5.1 living room system. We suffered no loss of sound quality whatsoever and more power than we could ever need. Works perfectly with our Apple TV. Both picture and sound could not be better. Highly recommend this perfect little receiver!!!

I have been a long time Bose fan - even basing my last 2 car purchases on them having a Bose system. I have several pairs of headphones, home theater products, and almost every generation of Bluetooth speaker. The Original Soundlink Mini was my favorite, still, until I got this. I'm amazed at this little thing - when you set it on a table, it resonates and fills the whole room with huge sound. Honestly, I don't think I've been this impressed with a small product's ability to sound so big since Bose brought out the Wave Radio. I added an S-Biner to the loop so I can hang it up. When I'm cooking in the kitchen, I just hang it on a cabinet door handle or a hook from one of the pot holders and it's out of the way, but still sounds amazing.

Driving in our car, we have the option of plugging the stereo cable directly into the car sound system, from our iPad. Then we can control the volume with the car sound system. This six foot length is just right.

One of the most exciting parts of upgrading my iPhone recently was being able to get one of these cases. I look forward to getting a couple of the accessories and to see what else might come to the system in the future.

There are not too many options for external sound cards and it is nice to know Sound Blaster keeps upgrading their offerings. This card sounds great, it is easy to install and has many options to configure. The primary target are games with presets ready to go. I used it for music, connected to a receiver, and the sound is outstanding.

This is by far the best car Mount system I’ve ever had. Works very well and feels very premium.
