Upright Freezer With Plastic Drawers

I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended. 5 |

I was happy to get these and be able to use them, a one-gallon sized plastic freezer bag is just the right width to fill with sand and place into either side of the saddle-bag. This fit perfectly on the bottom of the stands for the Background Support System - 12' Wide; B&H# IMBGSS12 | MFR#3046 I could have filled the compartments up even more but put a total of 12 lbs of sand in mine and they hold that background system firmly in place. At 12 lbs they are not bulging or unmanageable. Could probably squeeze 20 lbs of sand in them if I packed it in. 5 |

I fill heavy duty plastic freezer bags with 12 pounds sand and slide them into these. These are a must for weighting light stands outdoors, if there is any breeze at all. And, I use them as a safety precaution on light stands indoors. I also use them for weighting the leading edge of seamless background paper, and marking extension cords that are snaking across the studio floor. I have found them handy when trying to counterbalance a large umbrella, or a strobe on a boom arm. The bright orange color is a positive feature. People see them. 5 |

After using for a month (I bought the 48-55 and 62-72 mm sets) I think the days (months, years, decades) of jammed filters are behind me. Vs. the common plastic wrenches, these have far more grip (no slip, whatsoever) and stay aligned when squeezed rather than distorting and scissoring. Real test is when a CPL is jammed into an ND. These Sensei wrenches are able to grab onto the thin rings of the CPL individually. If you don't think these are worth the small investment, just place your jammed filters in your freezer for 30 minutes, then immediately upon removal tap the full circumference with the handle of a heavy table knife and quickly use your old plastic wrenches. Often though not always this will work. Never figured out how to carry a portable freezer in my camera bag. 5 |

This is a great purchase and value for the price. It is well made and the base is heavy enough to keep it upright, which is pretty much all you can ask for. I don't like advertising for other companies while I work and I wasn't thrilled about the very visible label, but the sticker peeled right off. My only concern is that the clamp is plastic, but I'm not using this on stage at the Garden. I use this for on-location comedy shows, random public appearances, and around the studio for recording voiceovers. The cable clip is also plastic and pops off a little too easily, but it's totally unnecessary anyway given the existence of gaffer tape. Just screw the upright into the base, screw on your microphone clip, plug in your mic, and start talking/singing/screaming. 5 |
