Us Cellular International Phone Rates

I got this today and it works great with my cell phone, it even came with a 3.5mm to 3.5 mm cable for cellular use...I was surprised..also do yourself a favor..install the gain jumpers as stated in the directions..it will give you more audio on a noisy day. HTH

I had some serious issues getting this working and turns out it’s best if you turn off your cellular service on your phone while doing the setup. Worked like a charm for me on multiple devices. A new update also improved integration with Apple HomeKit. Very happy with it now.

I have a cellular phone based app that I use for my intercom. So I use these so my camera ops in the field can clamp them to the camera tripods and put the phone right in front of them. They work awesome. Highly recommend and will be buying more.

This microphone has great audio as long as the phone is in airplane mode. If it is not, any communication over the cellular antennas causes the ticking and distortion other reviewers have mentioned. When in airplane mode though, the audio is clean. I prefer to shoot video in airplane mode anyway so my recordings are not bothered by text messages or phone calls. So, this is no big deal for me. I love the mic and the build quality.

Fast and great build qualty. i love the feature that it can be powered externally. This really improves transfer rates with mechanical HDD drives. I also use is to an OTG cable connected to my USB3 android phone (Galaxy Note 3) to copy and paste data between USB drives. Transfer rates are about 15MB/sec is copying between usb ports directly and about double of that when copying directly to the phone. This is a great alternative for those who want to backup photos on he fly while travelling without having to hold a laptop or buying expensive gear like the Nexto.

I often use my modem on, a Windows 10 computer, to make phone calls, and need to hear the dial-up sounds - to make sure the call is going through, and there is no busy signal. I tried 2 other modems (Lenovo & Sewell) that didn't produce dial-up sounds. Based on the recommendation of a US Robotics tech support rep., I tried the US Robotics model USR5639. It does make dial-up sounds, and dials very fast.
