These M-discs are top quality and the best optical archival solution I have found in the market for long-term data storage. I am getting 4x write speed on Mac Big Sur with Verbatim drive. The 25GB size is great if you do not need 100GB. Highly recommended. 5 |

It's a changing bag. And it works. I have not had it long so I can't evaluate it's long-term durability or performance. Perhaps to arm cuffs will loosen over time. Hard to tell. It looks like a big bag, but I find it's plenty of space for a 2-reel tank and all of the odds and ends needed for loading, without any issue. I typically lay it out on a table in front of me, which works well. 5 |

Don't know about the long-term performance, but the short-term seems great. I've hooked up via both USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 2 to my Dell Precision 7810, running Windows 10 (had to buy and install an accessory Thunderbolt PCIe 2.0 x4 card from Dell). Works good with both. One reviewer talked about the noise from these HGST drives--- dancin' skeletons. It bothered me, too, until I put a very thin foam pad (1/8 thick) underneath this unit, between it and my wooden table. Then it wasn't bad at all. I've come to conclude (based on various reviews of other manufacturers, too) that perhaps these large capacity drive (say, 4 TB and up) are generally pretty noisy. 5 |
