Usb 3.0 Extension Cable Driver

I bought this USB extension cable to run printers, scanners and software defined radios (SDR) that are located about 30 feet from me. I first tried 3-4 USB 3.0 extension cables that are not powered; they didn't work. This 30' StarTech powered USB 3.0 cable works great. I'm more than satisfied with it.

My desktop only has USB 3.0 ports in the back so they are very inconvenient to use. This extension cable solved the problem. I leave it plugged in all the time, sitting on top of the tower so it is easily accessible. Now I get super fast transfer speeds between my 3.0 thumb drive and PC.

Nicely made USB 3.0 capable extension cable. Handles high data rate without any issues. Reasonably well made.

It works great with the USB 3.0 cable provided with the D810.

USB 3.0, included USB hub, external powering and complete flexibility for your ports to be in or out, what else could you want? And now they include rack mount ears in a clever arrangement. Finally the best part - make sure to install their custom driver and don't use the default Windows one. That way you get interface multi-client, meaning the driver does not get locked to one client (so you can run multiple applications off the interface at once). Otherwise avoid the MOTU interfaces. I had to junk a MIDI Express XT because their driver (from 2013!) refuses to let a Windows computer sleep. They verified the issue, but yet at the time of this review, many months later, they neglect to fix it. So I had to buy a new interface, but this one is better anyhow.

I plugged this into a new PC with USB 3.0 ports. Plugged in a monitor and no display (no auto driver installation). I Googled rocstor usb to hdmi driver, found Rocstor's product web page and found the link to the driver. Installed the driver and, easy-peasy, the display came to life. I saw no embedded USB drive on my device. Works fine so far.

I bought this cable because the one our school's studio had had been worn down and didn't maintain a connection. I bought this knowing that I could use it for multiple camera's for tethering capabilities because of the open ended female port. The Nikon D800 is USB 3.0 compatible with this interface, as well as the Leaf Credo 40 backed medium format camera we also use in the studio. I also own a Nikon D7000 I have used to tether with the extension (mini-USB Pearstone extension cord, and the Male Type B USB extension cord for the Leaf Credo back), and it worked fine in Lightroom and in CaptureOne. I use my portable harddrive cord to connect the Pearstone 3.0 cord to the D800, and it works fine. Some things I think people underestimate about cables are their storage needs. They need to be wrapped up in a non destructive manner so the pins don't become dislodged from the connectors over time. I feel as though if I take care of this cord it will take care of me. I think it's a must for anyone planning to do tethering.

This is a three foot USB 3.0 extension. I'm using it for my Elgato Stream Deck, which probably doesn't even need 3.0, but I didn't want to risk it. I have discovered that it performs as 3' USB 3.0 extension should. It works.

I bought this Pearstone USB 3.0 Type A Male to Type A Female Extension Cable - 15' version to extend the USB 3.0 cable that comes with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, for the purpose of tethering. It's GREAT.\ The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV comes with a USB 3.0 designed and the port is designed with a . If you've ever used Tethertools 15' cables for tethering and a Jerkstopper, then you're gonna love this: The Canon IFC-150U II USB 3.0 Interface Cable for DSLRs that comes with the Canon 5D Mark IV has a cable protector contraption that literally screws into the side of the body by design, and works like the Jerkstopper ought to work like. They do sell a long version of this cord, but it's not what comes in box with the body. This is an affordable alternative to still make use of that cable for this matter. I decided to do this to avoid buying extra cables and plus, if I'm not using this for tethering, it can be used for other applications as I need. The quality of the cable is trustworthy and the connection seems perfect. It tethers as it should, with speed. I hope this helps! =
