Usb 3.0 Extension Cable With Dock

I bought this USB extension cable to run printers, scanners and software defined radios (SDR) that are located about 30 feet from me. I first tried 3-4 USB 3.0 extension cables that are not powered; they didn't work. This 30' StarTech powered USB 3.0 cable works great. I'm more than satisfied with it. 5 |

My desktop only has USB 3.0 ports in the back so they are very inconvenient to use. This extension cable solved the problem. I leave it plugged in all the time, sitting on top of the tower so it is easily accessible. Now I get super fast transfer speeds between my 3.0 thumb drive and PC. 5 |

Nicely made USB 3.0 capable extension cable. Handles high data rate without any issues. Reasonably well made. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The USB 3.0 universal dock makes it convenient to have all your usb plugs in one area. Having all the connectivity ports together, makes it easier to do more work in less time. Compatible with MAC and chrome. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded my USB dock from the USB 3.0 dock to this Hybrid USB-C dock. Connected to my T480s. Having the USB-C (the one cable that does it ALL!) is a nice upgrade and makes my connection/disconnection that much simpler. Plus the connection is more stable than the USB 3.0 docking and the drivers seem to work seamlessly with the laptop. USB 3.0 dock was very nice but had some connectivity issues. I have experienced none of those with the Hybrid USB-C dock. And as a "lay flat" versus sitting upright, with the various cables attached it is more stable and not prone to tipping over if something tugs at one of the cables. Very much worth the upgrade for me. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this USB-C dock to replace older USB 3.0 dock with two monitors. Easily connects in just a few minutes. Works great for a home office that supports two Thinkpad X1's and a Dell Latitude for work. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Plugable USB 3.0, USB-C Universal Dock is a really great product to have. It has helped to make my life a lot easier. No more worrying about where to plug things and how to hook them up. Everything fits and works! The universal dock makes hooking up multiple monitors a breeze. I have three monitors hooked up to it as well as my mouse and keyboard. Setup took maybe 5 minutes for me. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a MacBook Air a couple of years ago and have been struggling with a way to connect my various peripherals. I have purchased multiple connectors but always have a hard time locating them when needed. This docking station is a great way to add much needed ports to my MacBook all in one convenient location. The sleek look and finish paired well with my MacBook Air and fit neatly in my laptop bag. There is a non-slip grip on the top of the dock which allowed the laptop to stay in place providing an optimal position and angle for typing. On the bottom of the dock there were adhesive strips that could be used to adhere the dock to the laptop if so desired. The dock get hot when fully loaded and offers all of the basic ports one might need (3.5 mm audio headphones/microphone/audio recording, VGA, MicroSD 3.0, SD Card 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45), USB 3.0 (BC1.2)/USB 3.0/USB 2.0, 4K DisplayPort/4K HDMI, 100W PD 3.0 (no data). The wired internet port is a must for a fast and stable internet connection. It doesn’t charge your laptop but it charges your connected devices such as a cellphone or tablet. The one thing I would change would be the length of the connector cord for the USB C. The short cord makes it hard to connect and keep the laptop positioned on the dock. Once in place, the laptop will stay in place. I recommend this product as it provides ample peripheral connections, is durable and provides the quality that is expected from the Belkin name. 5 |

I bought this cable because the one our school's studio had had been worn down and didn't maintain a connection. I bought this knowing that I could use it for multiple camera's for tethering capabilities because of the open ended female port. The Nikon D800 is USB 3.0 compatible with this interface, as well as the Leaf Credo 40 backed medium format camera we also use in the studio. I also own a Nikon D7000 I have used to tether with the extension (mini-USB Pearstone extension cord, and the Male Type B USB extension cord for the Leaf Credo back), and it worked fine in Lightroom and in CaptureOne. I use my portable harddrive cord to connect the Pearstone 3.0 cord to the D800, and it works fine. Some things I think people underestimate about cables are their storage needs. They need to be wrapped up in a non destructive manner so the pins don't become dislodged from the connectors over time. I feel as though if I take care of this cord it will take care of me. I think it's a must for anyone planning to do tethering. 5 |
