Tested using blackmagic speed test: 150 read and 150 write using external usb 3.0 5 |

I replaced this one with two of my old USB 3.0 external docks. The speed is considerably faster than USB 3.0. I consistently got write speeds of around 150 - 200MB/s copying files back and forth between this one and my internal SSD hard drive. To turn off the power, remember to press and hold the power button for a few seconds. 5 |

I was outgrowing my 1 TB external single drives, and it was about time to separate my work projects from my personal. The item arrived quickly, and sported the lovely new electronic smell. Install was a breeze; as I don't have the need for RAID at the moment, I converted the drives quickly to be independent of each other, with one drive making multiple backups of the other. My system doesn't support USB 3.0, so I can't comment on the speed. But I can say USB 2.0 speeds are similar to other external drives, averaging around 20-25 MB/sec, according to the disc tests I ran. 4 months later the drive bay still runs like a charm. It is very quiet, located about 4 feet away from ear shot, and can only be heard when booting up the desktop as the drives spin up. This won't win you any awards for speed if you're doing heavy video processing. For now, it serves my purpose as a drive for my photography business, but I fear as the cameras keep increasing in MP sizes, I may need to update the desktop to either USB 3.0 or something similar, as USB 2.0 is starting to show its age (rendering full size previews of thousands of images can take a long time)! 5 |

I added this adapter card to my 4 y/o HP desktop to gain USB 3.0 capability. I found it easy to install and also purchased with it and installed a StarTech 4 Pin Molex to SATA Power Cable Adapter (6) from B+H, although not necessary to run my two USB 3.0 external hard drives. But for $ why not get the power cable in the event you need to power a device that needs the extra juice? I have not tested any actual transfer speeds; however, I do notice a much, much faster transfer rate when I back up the data on my computer's C: drive to the external hard drives. I also intend to use another of the card's USB 3.0 ports to attach a USB 3.0 SDXC/CF card reader. Instructions for installation of the driver on the accompanying CD was easy. 5 |

This was ordered with the LaCIe 4TB Mini USB 3.0 External hard drive and fits it perfectly. It provides protection from the general elements for the specified hard drive and has met all expectations thus far. I would definitely recommend this if you're purchasing the aforementioned external hard drive. 5 |

WD 5TB My Passport for Mac USB 3.0 External Hard Drive. Easy install. Handles my 2 and 3Gb photo files quickly, along with other file transfers. It allows to use my thunderbolt port and speed to my advantage. Nothing is really fast enough for me but its a reasonable start at a reasonable cost with reliability. 5 |

This fits my external 2.5 USB 3.0 SSD hard drive really well and gives it good protection and has a place to store the cable. Good value for money and the usual great quality I have come to expect from items sold by B&H. 5 |

I purchased Sabrent 2.5 SATA to USB 3.0 Tool-Free External Hard Drive Enclosure to use my old SATA SSD as external drive. It works great! The case is sturdy and well-made. The USB cable included is also long and high-quality. I am very satisfied with this purchase. 5 |
