This is great backup storage! – Im using it with a Mac Pro, which meant that I had to format it for Mac OS. That did take a fair amount of time, one and a half day I think I remember, but I kept using my computer as usual while this was taking place, so it didnt matter much. The drive is compact, heavy and stands on nice rubber feet, very confidence inspiring! Comes with USB cable for USB 2.0 and 3.0 – I havent had a chance to experience USB 3.0 yet, so I dont know how fast that would be. The one thing I worried a little about before buying it, was noise…as it turns out, there is no noise, it is amazingly quiet. – So this is a very nice drive that I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone. 5 |

I am using this with an 18TB Hitachi drive to connect it to my old Mac Pro via USB 3.0. It works great. The enclosure is not very large and has stand with the non-slip base. It has been very fast and quiet, just what I had hoped it would be. And it looks nice on my desk. 5 |

This hard drive works great. I don't have a usb 3.0 on my computer but is pretty fast. The only things is tht is not ready to use on a Mac so you'll need to format it if you want to use this hard drive on a Mac. Other than that is great. 5 |
