Usb C Flash Drive For Macbook Pro

I got this USB-C flash drive for my M1 MacBook Pro, as I was tired of having to use an adapter every time I needed to use my old flash-drives. As my first type-C flash drive, I couldn't be happier. The performance is what you would expect from a Gen 1, USB 3.2 (a little above par compared with USB 3, to be honest), but I wasn't getting this for any super-computing speed tests, so that was fine with me. All I can say is that whoever took the product photos for this little flash drive MUST'VE used a macro lens, because this thing is SUPER tiny! It barely sticks out an inch from the side of my MacBook when it's connected, and that's fine with me - I'm just glad I have a dedicated gadget-bag for my cables and flash drives or else I'd be constantly worried about losing this little thing! Fantastic product, though. Highly recommended! 5 |

Slimline external usb drive for Macbook Pro. I've used this to burn both cd's and dvd's, as well as creating file backups. Reliable and fast! 5 |

This is a superb TB4 dock at a reasonable price. I needed it for WFH setup to drive 2 external displays for a Macbook Pro 16 (M1 Pro) and wanted the convenience of a single cable connector and a lot of expansion slots. I use 2 USB-C to Displayport cables to drive 2 Dell QHD displays. I'm very satisfied with the performance of this dock, but will upgrade to 4K at some point which this will also support. I still have a spare TB4 port on the dock to which I will connect a TB3 or 4 SSD in the future. The dock also charges the MBP 16 efficiently with its 96W and the included TB4 cable. The other USB ports come in handy for some older devices and low voltage charging. I haven't tried the SD slot or headphone ports so far. The ethernet port functions well - no issues. If there's one fault I had to point to, it's the lack of a power button. Would be nice to have when undocking, but this is a minor issue. Also wish the host port would have been located on the rear or a side. Overall, this is an excellent performing dock. It looks great and feels fairly robust. Lastly, the shipping to Canada was fast and included options to have taxes/duties paid up front - very convenient! I recommend this dock to any Macbook user looking to expand video and other connectivity via Thunderbolt. 5 |

I'm using this with my new Apple MacBook Pro Retina. The USB 3.0 is blazing fast. Copying files to and from the Mac's built-in SSD is very quick. The drive is quiet and discreet. I like this drive so far. 5 |

I was surprised how robust this drive is. This is my first Thunderbolt drive and it does not disappoint at all. OWC makes incredible sturdy products so I shouldn't expect anything less with this drive. I get about 2050 mb/s write and 2720 mb/s read on my MacBook Pro 16 inch M1 Pro 2021 and about 415 mb/s write and 420 mb/s read using the tethered usb c to usb a adapter on my MacBook Pro 15 inch Retina mid 2012. It's a big step up coming from a hard disk drive haha. I got the 4TB version formatted to Apple's APFS file system and it works flawlessly. I definitely recommend this Thunderbolt drive for anyone looking for a Thunderbolt drive. 5 |

I just purchased a 2018 Macbook Pro and wanted an external hard drive for its Time Machine software. Came formatted for the Mac and worked without any drama or issues. The drive is boxes with a rather short USB type-C cable and a USB type-A dongle. C-cable fits tightly for a good connection. Ive used the dongle for some older Window devices without issue. Product was in-stock and arrived in a reasonable time. Im very satisfied with my purchase. 5 |

I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker. 5 |

Used external USB case to mirror internal hard drive of Macbook Pro. Then simply replaced the internal drive with SanDisk SSD. Significant speed increase and virtually silent. Great driver for the price. Highly recommend it! 5 |

I've never experienced a drive with speeds like this. I really do get a little over 800 MB/s transfer speeds, which is mind blowing considering I've been content with 150-250 MB/s... at least I thought I was content. I could never go back to those speeds now. This SSD works so well with my 2016 MacBook Pro with touchbar. The form factor of the drive itself is also really nice. Great, sleek packaging. Amazing metal chassis. It's also really nice that both a USB type-C to USB type-C cable and a USB type-C to USB type-A cable are included because I still quite often interface with USB type-A machines. I also feel very secure using this drive on the go as it feels (and is suppose to be) very resistant to drops and shocks. However, this drive is overkill for older machines so just make sure your machine will actually take advantage of the USB 3.1 type-C Gen. 2 speeds of up to 10Gbps, such as the new 2016 MacBook Pro. Otherwise, you'd be spending extra $$ for no good reason. 5 |
