One of the purposes for this adapter was to connect a USB mouse to my iPad through the lightning connector. Initially, I bought a knock off from Amazon and it wouldn’t work at all until I started doing something manipulating the connectors, particularly the USB connector, and even at that when I got that working And the mouse was mostly working, I couldn’t get the iPad to charge through the device unless I did some more manipulating of the power input connector and the lightning connector going into the iPad. Needless to say, it was hit or miss when I was trying to use it. However, when I got the real Apple adapter, I plugged it in first time worked and I haven’t had any kind of problem with it. Even the mouse works much better response much better with the iPad. So it’s not worth trying to save a few bucks, get the real thing from folks that you know you can trust, B&H Photo. 5 |

The port on this adapter is not blue but it is USB 3. It transfers files effortlessly from a SSD to my iPad Pro. 5 |

Up until now, I could connect either a USB-audio headphone OR a USB-compliant MIDI keyboard to my USB-C iPad via a wired connection, but not both. This meant that one of the two – keyboard or headphone – had to be connected via Bluetooth. This is usually not a problem except when trying to record a live performance, where Bluetooth latency is frankly unacceptable. With the MiniFuse, however, both the keyboard and the headphone attach to the interface, and a single USB-C cable connects to the iPad. I have so many neat synth and other music creation apps on there that I can finally use live! This is HUGE for me. Note that the MiniFuse 4 supports up to 500 mA keyboards via its USB-hub, so long as it's plugged in, whereas the MiniFuse 2 supports only up to 250 mA devices, which cuts out most external USB-compliant MIDI keyboards. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to have to plug the MiniFuse 4 to a wall socket to make it all work, but that's still just a single wire. Oh, also, I've connected some synths to the audio inputs, and I've been running both the headphone and main Audio outputs, as well as the loopback interface both with the iPad and my mac, and it all works and sounds fantastic. The manual takes a bit of careful reading to understand the possible routings (for me at least, I'm a newbie at this) but it's well written and I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. I didn't know I needed it, but now that I have the MiniFuse, I can't imagine not having it as the central hub to my synthesizer setup. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace a simple usb-c to headphone adapter I have been using since I damaged my 3.5 mm headphone jack on my phone. I don't use it a lot but it comes in very handy when I need it. I have two vehicles without bluetooth and I prefer just to use a wired connection. This lets me charge my phone and use headphones or the auxiliary input in my car at the same time. The sound is clean when it is charging and without any interference. I also like that it is small and simple and does exactly what I need it to. 5 |
