I'm really glad to see new hubs that have actual USB-C ports on them. A lot of my stuff has USB-C ports, so this makes it easier to plug them all in!

I have two of these hubs and they both work very well.

Mic, Pre-Amp, and Headphone Amp in an all-in-one package! Nice to be able to use a USB mic without the need for a separate pre-amp. Really like the headphone jack incorporated into the unit with separate gain controls for the headphone volume.

There is a plethora of powered USB hubs available. Most have plastic cases. The Xcellon has a metal case which acts as a Faraday cage and eliminates interference with other devices and/or power cables. The lights that indicate which channel is in use is handy. This is a well-made product.

Supplies power to my new MacBook along with connectivity for a 2nd screen, several disks and two USB (A) hubs supporting other external drives and devices. My only wish was that there was a utility to eject the dock to quickly carry away the MacBook. I have disconnected/reconnected the dock without any issues, but never feel comfortable.

These USB hubs are great and save power on your computer/Laptos 4 channels of on off as needed. I have many in my audio studio and personal computers.

I recently purchased 2 Xcellon Slim 10 Port USB 3.0 Hubs. They were to replace similar same brand hubs that I had purchased a long, long time ago. The new Hubs have individual on/off switches for each USB Port, 10 on off switches, which allows me to leave multiple remote drives plugged in, but not connected to my iMac's. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I've had what feels like a million different USB hubs over the years. I've only had this one for about a month but I love it because of the external power supply, high-transfer speeds (USB3.0), and the ability to independently power on and off each individual (of the 10) USB inputs available. I have a nice little caddy with my Samsung T-drives next to it so when I don't want a drive connected, I eject from my computer, and simply power off its individual port. No more unplugging and replugging and moving drives around. I've got my keyboard, Streamdeck, and 5 Samsung drives plugged in at the moment, and I still have three open USB slots to use. I've had no issues with overloading or drives disconnecting without ejecting first (as I've had others where you look at it the wrong way and it'd disconnect). 5 stars! (Using on a 2015 iMac, for reference)

Adding USB-C ports as the only option for connecting peripherals on a MacBook Pro has been a highly unfortunate connectivity decision by Apple. The USB-C standard has attempted to take a Swiss Army Knife approach to peripheral connectivity but has dead-ended with no chipsets that support USB-C hubs. Most hubs that plug into a USB-C port give lots of options for connectivity EXCEPT more USB-C ports, which, in some cases, further robs USB-C connectivity on the Mac. Enter this wonderful little gizmo. I still get two functional USB-C ports (two for data, with one of them supporting fast charging), two USB-3.1 ports, plus regular and micro SD card slots. Now I can plug my Logitech wireless mouse transmitter into a USB-3 port on the SIIG hub without having to use an Apple USB-C to USB-3 dongle and wasting one of my USB-C ports for the mouse. It has an aluminum body, looks like a high quality build, and works as advertised. I wish I'd found this little guy about five years ago. I would buy it again and highly recommend it!
