Usb C Monitor For Mac

I tried three different USB-C cables before trying this one - this is the one that finally worked to extend a touchscreen monitor from my Mac Mini.

I used to have a usb hub, the laptop charger and a monitor. The new monitor with a single usb-c cable both charges my mac and allows for the monitor connection. The usb hub is there in case i need to connect a usb key or something extra. If it also had a camera and mike built in it would be amazing (i got the camera separately). I'm very happy with it.

I bought this to pair with my new Mac mini M1 and am pleasantly surprised. It came with a cord that plugged into one of the mini's USB A ports and connects to the monitor so that I have three additional USB A connections in the monitor, which allows me to hook up a few more external SSD's without any hassle. The screen is bright, clear with rich color, although when I calibrated the screen with a Datacolor Spyder X Elite, I dialed the brightness down quite a bit. In use, it's a really great screen. I edit photos and do HD video for YouTube and this screen is just fine for what I do at a very modest price. I'm very happy with it.

Love this monitor!!! I’ve tried others but have failed because my Mac is a 2014 and only has USB type A. This monitor was the first to work and I love it. If I need to remote in on the go to get work done this will work perfectly. The installation was a bit funky and took a minute, but I’m also not very tech-Savy so that could be why. Screen is on the small side but it will do! Thank you Mobile Pixels for making a portable monitor this old Mac user can use!

Got this for my imac, since the monitor I use with it doesn't have a camera. I was worried that there might be a problem using it with a mac, but not at all: I plugged it in to a USB-A port and it was recognized immediately. The picture is just fine for Zoom calls and such.

I bought this monitor at an excellent Deal Zone price. Out of the box (sRGB D65), the color looked great, way too bright, text kind of fuzzy, no webcam on Mac or Windows. iProfiler confirmed no tweaking of RGB levels, turned brightness to 14. Increase Sharpness to Level 6. Reread Quick Setup guide and you need 1) USB-C to USB-C cable, or 2) DP to DP cable + USB-A to USB-C cable to activate the webcam, It did not mention that without Alt-DP, a USB-C to USB-C cable alone will not work. Webcam works in Mac Intel, Mac ARM (M2), Windows, and is super sharp. The other reviewer did something wrong or has a defective unit. You can't go wrong with this monitor, except that is not a 27.

Works perfectly driving my monitor from either my MacBook Pro or my Mac Studio. Automatically switches when either is powered up, or switch input manually. One note: I had trouble with mix/match outputs from computers ie one usb-c/ one hdmi) , but changing both to usb-c made all good.

I recently bought a new Mac Mini with the M1 chip. It only has two Thunderbolt /USB 4 ports. I needed more ports to support my external Thunderbolt disk chain, a second monitor, an external USB hub, and a dedicated port for my Primera Disc Publisher. With some additional work and compromise, I could actually get what I needed with only the two ports on the Mac, but it would require running some of the Thunderbolt discs off the USB hub. Some discs use USB 3 can be plugged into the USB hub but I wanted to have separate connections for the USB hub, the Thunderbolt disc chain, and the second monitor. I connected everything as I needed for my configuration and this hub worked perfectly: the discs on the the Thunderbolt disc chain worked, the devices plugged into the USB hub all worked, and the second monitor worked, all without any problems. I did not try charging anything but the power supply provides up to 5 amps at 20 volts DC. Based on my experience I would recommend this device to anyone needing additional Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports.
