[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP E14 G4 Portable Monitor is exactly what I was hoping for - a decent sized monitor that fits on top of my closed Envy laptop. It provides a useful second extended display for my Envy 27 display. The USB-C cable works perfectly with the USB-C connection from my laptop. The Portable Monitor is light in weight and the foldable stand holds the display at a nice angle. I highly recommend this product. 5 |

I needed a compact, simple, high-quality, secondary display to sit beside my main monitor. I very much wanted a portable monitor, but not to actually carry around with me, just not an ordinary display with the clutter of power cord/stand/etc. It will mostly be sitting in one place, but the nature of my work involves frequent changes to all the hardware connected to my system, so a degree of portability is great. What I also didn't really want was the usual origami case/cover/stand that comes with most portable monitors. I think they're great, but just not right for this particular usage. Before the Lenovo I tried an Asus Zenscreen, which was pretty awesome, but had a battery (great for true portable use!) but wouldn't power-up if the battery needed charging, which is a hassle I don't need. The Asus also had an HDMI input, which the Lenovo lacks, and also built-in speakers (if I recall correctly). Again, for true portable use, the speakers are almost a must-have, so for some people the Lenovo won't fit the bill. The lack of HDMI support is a little disappointing, for sure, but even though I would have made use of it, it also wasn't a deal breaker (for me). So, yes, if all you need is the display, and your computer/device supports video over USB-C, this is a great option. Minor gripe is the straight plug and length of the supplied USB-C cable. A right-angled plug and another foot or so of length would have been much better. I had to buy a separate cable, and (as I discovered the hard way!) not many USB-C cables support the alt mode of Displayport-over-USB, and the correct cable wasn't cheap! For me, in this particular scenario, this Lenovo is pretty much perfect. For some people it may be a little too basic, so for those people I'd say try the Asus. 5 |

Excellent portable monitor. Well built and seamless usb c integration. Screen is pleasant to look at even after extended period of use, with realistic colours. 5 |

I knew this monitor was going to be compatible with the USB-C to USB-C connection on my Lenovo ThinkPad, but I was a bit unsure whether it would require auxiliary power from my Dell Latitude work laptop. The Thunderbolt connection provided the same connectivity, and I could not be more pleased with the quality and simplicity of the Lilliput. So nice to have just this one cable providing the video and power to the portable monitor. Was not planning for touchscreen capabilities on my portable monitor, but for the price, this feature was a great add-on. I put this decision off for way too long...should have bought it month's ago! 5 |

The ASUS OLED MQ16AH is a phenomenal portable monitor which renders beautiful imagery with fantastic color accuracy. Perfect for when home or traveling, this monitor is lightweight and occupies very little space. Standard buttons on the monitor allow tuning various display settings. A handy shortcut button was also made available to switch between the pre-configured display presets or customizable to perform some other function. Connecting to the monitor was effortless using either of the two included cables, USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to MINI-HDMI. The bezel around the panel was minimal and unobtrusive. The colors are colorful and vibrant. Lightweight and portable. And for extended control and flexibility, the monitor is mountable on a small tripod. Overall, the ASUS OLED MQ16AH is a fantastic, utilitarian portable monitor offering many features in a small, compact design. 5 |

So portable. So easy. Not heavy enough to toss your monitor around. unplug usb - unsnap your magnets and you have your laptop back again. This thing is awesome! 5 |

This cable fixed my CarPlay issues. I have a 2019 Ford F450 and with the Apple cable + USB-C adapter (Apple doesn’t sell a USB-A to USB-C cable) I was constantly getting disconnected from my CarPlay receiver. I haven’t had a single disconnect with this cable. A real life-saver! 5 |

Bought this because I used a 2019 MBP Pro 16 for work all day and my other dock was UBC-C only and was limited on the HDMI port to low refresh even though it had USB-C passthrough. This one I was able to take full advantage of 144Hz for the monitor over HDMI and have more USB ports in the process. As well put away the power adapter and not have to go crawling under the desk to unplug it if I needed to go mobile and bring it with me. I have now a 2019 MBP Pro 16 I use for work, a 2021 M1 Max MBP 16 I use personally as well as a 2019 LG Gram 17 I use personally. This this works great for all three of them and all three are able to take advantage of the 1440p 144Hz display, even the low spec iGPU on the Gram 17. So much nicer to work with. My only complaint is it gets super hot to the touch when using the 2019 MBP 16, or I suppose at any point it would be supplying near max power over thunderbolt. I would imagine the case is made of metal to attempt to dissipate that heat more effectively, but it was still a little off putting how hot to the touch the case of the dock gets. I have it out of the way under a monitor stand so it's not a big deal, just consider that though if that would cause you some annoyance in your setup. 5 |
