I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I use the case to hold a small USB Hard Drive. It holds the drive and cable quite nicely. And, the case protected my drive from damage when it was dropped several feet when my backpack broke. So, it already has done it's job once, and should continue being used for quite a while. 5 |
