Usb Hard Drive Extension Cable

I use the case to hold a small USB Hard Drive. It holds the drive and cable quite nicely. And, the case protected my drive from damage when it was dropped several feet when my backpack broke. So, it already has done it's job once, and should continue being used for quite a while. 5 |

The USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive adapter cable w/UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD / HDD works with my Windows laptop but it seemed like I needed a USB 3.0 port to provide enough power because when plugged into a USB 2.0 it would not light up. No special software or drivers required - the hard drive showed up as another drive when I looked at My Computer. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5 |

I had wanted to use the cable sold by The crucial website. It wasn't available, so I used B&H Photo. The USB port to SATA cable worked fine. I will use this Cable in the future. I removed the original hard drive, and replaced it with a cloned SSD drive. I now have a 500gb hard drive that I will use for backing up data on the computer with this cable. 5 |

This cable is super simple to use and provides a great way to connect a failing hard drive via USB to another computer to salvage the data. Just plug it in and it works. 5 |

I have tested this SATA to USB cable using several different SATA disks including regular 2.5" spinning disks and 2.5" SSD disks. The cable comes in zip lock bag with a little instruction book. The cable is very strong feeling and has a good amount of flex. The cable is long enough that I can connect it to a USB port on the bottom of my normal size PC tower and have the other end with the drive sit on top of the tower. The SATA end of the cable has 4 tiny pin holes in it which on close inspections with a drive connected, one of them has an LED in it. The LED stays lit to indicate that it is working and then flashes for disk activity. When connected, the computer detected the cable and attached drive very quickly. Transferring data to the drive was very quick and consistent in speed throughout the process. I have confirmed that this cable only works with 2.5" drives as the product describes. I guess USB just doesn't have enough power for full size 3.5" drives, which isn't a flaw of the product but larger hard drives. Great simple cable to get data from 2.5" drives. Instant portable hard drive cable or help in recovery of files laptop/SSD hard drives. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5 |

As far as I'm concerned, you can't have too many USB-C cables, because they are used for a variety of situations and accessories. This one is working perfectly and can be used for charging, which is super fast with this cable and its 100W, 5A output capabilities. This USB-C cable can also be used to hook up a variety of USB devices for data transport, like some cameras, or hard drives etc... I'm mainly using mine for an external hard drive, but having the flexibility to use it as a fast charging cable is nice too. I love the 6.6 feet length as it allows me hook up my external SSD hard drives to a port in the back of my cpu and run the cable so the hard drive is close to me on my desk. It is also long enough for me to put my PC on the ground if I wanted to and still route the cable and drive to reach desktop. I find this super convenient. This is a well-constructed cable that feels high quality. And it has worked flawlessly for me. I'm confident it will last a long time. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |

I'm using this drive with my Macbook 6,1 with Mountain Lion and a 250GB hard drive. The primary use of the Elements drive is to use Time Machine to backup the Macbook which only has USB 2.0 so I can't comment on the USB 3.0 speed. But I have no complaints with the read/write speed being on USB 2.0. I formatted the drive into 2 500GB partitions - 1 for Time Machine and 1 for General. So far, the drive has performed to expectations. It has a great compact form factor. My only little concern is the connection between the hard drive and the provided cable in terms of durability. It seems that if you are not careful the connector can easily bend or break. So I make sure that I disconnect the cable when not is use or transporting the drive. To me, it's not a big deal since I usual baby my gadgets. Overall, very good external hard drive. Highly recommend. 5 |

This USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable comes as two 16' cables NOT one 32 cable. ......I hooked the two cables together connected my Nikon D200 to my laptop and it worked perfect. A 15MB photo downloaded in two seconds. As it turns out I'm glade it comes as a two cables. 5 |
