This is a review for the Epson DS-770 II Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This scanner is one of the best desktop scanners I've used. It's straight through paper path reduces jams, a common problem I experienced with the ADH scanners built into multi-function printers that use a "C" paper path. The machine handles all different paper types I throw at it - from thick envelopes to small gas station receipts. Additionally, the ability to disable the multi-feed page detection enables the machine to scan papers with post-its. The software works well on my computer. A tip, however, is to ensure that the USB port you connect it to is a proper USB 3.0 port and is not a USB 2.0 port as commonly found in USB hubs, including those built into computer monitors. The driver works well to scan and organize files and the OCR works better than I was expecting. Additionally, the scanner has a standard TWAIN interface that allows me to use any scanner application, such as those built into fax software. Overall, this machine is worth the money - especially if you can expense the cost to your employer. The consumables are easy to clean and replace when it's time to (a piece many scanner owners forget.) It's notable to mention that my machine came with a 3 year advanced replacement warranty which means that they'll send you a new scanner before you send back your broken scanner (which could save on shipping.) Overall strong recommendation for this machine.

The two color system is a pleasure to work with and the bar code function makes it so much easier for inventory control

Great stand for desktop use. Only one drawback is that bar code label took some work to remove.

Purchased this to use for positioning bar code readers, sensors etc to allow us to design permanent mounting fixtures for the devices on nachinery.

All you have to do is plug it in to a usb port and BAM! you get a numeric keypad for your laptop. It looks ultra cool and has no problems. This is the best that money can buy!

I love having the option to use the keypad with my laptop. My favorite feature is the hide-away that stored the USB connection underneith the keypad-can't lose it!

Works absolutely seamlessly with my Mac. Love the keypad, the built-in rechargeable battery that should last a year before it goes flat, and the fact that the Bluetooth can be paired -- simultaneously -- with up to four devices, like an iPhone or iPad (or Android stuff, which I don't use).

This portable scanner just does wonders, it’s a versatile piece of technology that Epson has put together. The box includes connecting cable and a quick start guide to get along easily. Epson provides links to download its apps online known as EpsonScan. The Scanner needs the software to get started. The scanner is thin and very portable, significantly smaller and lighter weight (0.66lb) than any other scanners in the market. It is powered by either the USB connection or the internal USB-rechargeable battery and does not require an AC adapter. Its battery powered and micro USB rechargeable which works like a charm on all devices, the looks are elegant with a nice little LCD display and has a pro touch to itself. The scan quality is great and can be done through Wi-Fi/ wired methods which are really simple to follow. Functions like multiple pages scanning, single file output, easy conversion of scanned copies into desired format, rotation and deletion of individual pages are all included with this package. It has a power button which will do the job without any app access and comes with a slot to secure the scanner from theft. It can also scan business cards, Photo IDs which is a plus. It has a scan resolution up to 300dpi which is just okay for a scanned copy and it doesn't have an automatic document feeder which requires manual intervention every time a new page is loaded and it doesn't come with a memory card slot where the documents can directly be stored in rather than on a desktop app or a mobile app. Overall it’s an excellent piece of technology and very convenient. I am going with 5 star for this Epson Product for being the most portable scanner which is easy to use and is great enough to do the job. Good quality cable that seems over built Comes with color rubber bands so you can color code your cables.
