Usb Portable Monitor 4K

I own 3 of these for a portable triple monitor setup. I'm tired of seeing only 1080p or 4K 15.6 inch monitors. 1080p isn't often enough. 4K is a little overkill and you might as well change the resolution on your desktop to 2.5K. Well, this is a native 2.5K display. Oh and it's 16:10 aspect ratio so it's actually 2560x1600. The extra height is glorious for working in Davinci Resolve, Blender, and any other program. It also has full size HDMI which is very rare for quality portable monitors. Don't buy the garbage you see floating around on Amazon when it comes to portable monitors. Buy the ASUS. ViewSonic also has some quality options. I like ViewSonic's 1080p OLED, the physical design is better but it's micro HDMI and well ... it could have been 2.5K. Overall ... as of 2024 this is literally the best portable IPS OLED monitor that's affordable you can buy. I used my xRite color calibration tool to calibrate each monitor to 400 nits and Rec709. You can confidently color grade on these. They have minimal back light bleed. ASUS has been releasing 2.5K 15.6 inch 16:10 (same resolution) OLED panels in some of their latest laptops, so we might see a new Zenscreen like this in 2025 as an OLED panel. However, you can't go wrong with a tried and true IPS panel. These are great. Go for it!

I had been wanting to jump on the OLED train for a while, yet I held off because there were not any 4k panels at anything less than 42, which would have been too large for my setup. When I heard that high FPS 4k 32 OLED monitors were coming to the market, I was exited to get my hands on one. I ended up choosing this MSI model over the others for its KVM, 90w Power Delivery DP Alt Mode, and it's price which was a good ~300 dollars less than similar offerings. After placing the order, it arrived the very next day. Setup was easy no tool's required. The Monitors comes with a removable protective film to prevent scratches and streaks, It came with a HDMI cable, USB A to USB B cable, Power Cord (No chuncky external brick or plug, as its all built into the monitor). Firing it up for the first time, I was amazed by how good it looked in games, the 4k resolution with HDR really makes images pop. Colors never really crossed my mind before, but after seeing this monitor I see what people mean now, its really nice and stands out in games and colorfully animated movies. The high refresh rate coupled with OLED response times is phenomenal, providing a crisp image in motion. I highly recommend this monitor if you're looking for a 4k OLED in a smaller form factor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an expansion dock for my MacBook that allows a 4K monitor and multiple USB devices to share one USB-C port on the MacBook, as well as provide AC power over the same single port. Despite the claims of the expansion dock manufacturer (Note: not a Belkin device), the USB-C cable they provided to connect the dock to the MacBook created persistent video sync problems with the 4K monitor. After months of frustration, I purchased this Belkin cable which immediately resolved all video sync problems. I recommend it highly to anyone using a similar configuration or needing a high quality, high performance USB-C cable.

Just purchased 2019 MacBook Pro, i9 2.4GHz CPU, 2TB SSD, 32GB RAM, Pro Vega 20 GPU. Upgraded to Catalina. Purchased usb-c to display port cable for 4K - tested and worked to get 4K resolution on this monitor. Purchased thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 3 cable rated at 40GB, 100W, 5K @ 60Hz - worked to get 5K resolution on this monitor. Purchased two other usb-c cables rated at 20GB and both failed to transmit video/audio to this monitor. Make sure you use a thunderbolt 3 cable that has the appropriate power and bandwidth rating to transmit 5K resolution on this monitor.

I wanted a monitor that could do the following: 4K and close to accurate colours for professional video editing Charge my MBP 15 (85W) Audio output from monitor to powered speaker monitors Able to switch between MBP and Intel Nuc PC (keyboard, mouse and audio follows) Multiple USB and Thunderbolt connections on the monitor so I only need 1 cable to MBP. This monitor has all that and you won't find many others that do. Cons: I wish it had a gigabit ethernet connection but I solved that by connecting a USB-C hub with ethernet to the monitor. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off to select the right input when both sources are being woken up from sleep. Tldr: Highly recommended for good image quality suited for a pro. Good range of inputs for minimalistic setups and switching between inputs.

Color accurate as Dell claims. I run it in a slightly scaled mode with my Macbook Pro 16. I use USB-C to my Satechi Thunderbolt dock connected to the computer and it works flawlessly. Note that if you use an HDMI adapter from a dock or the hdmi connection on a dock, or certain HDMI to USB-C adapters you may have the issue with it flashing black randomly very quickly maybe a couple times a day. It is like a disconnect type behavior. This is an Apple issue, not a Dell one. See the forums online. If running in full 4k unscaled, connect a quality HDMI cable directly to the Mac, or use a quality USB-C / Thunderbolt cable. You will be fine. At 4k native, I think the PPI is just a hair too small for comfort on text. I think the 5k 41 Dell monitor on native resolution has a slightly lower PPI so you could probably get away with that. I cam from a 43 Dell 4k monitor on native resolution so this is obviously a little more dense than that. Regardless, the style, quality, image quality, color, brightness, and the wonderful usb hub built into the monitor are great. No, unlike my 43, this does not have built in speakers, but Dell sells a clip on soundbar or you can just buy a slim computer speaker and sneak it under your desk somewhere since the sound quality is not the greatest anyways. For normal people I think 32 1440p is probably the best resolution to diagonal ratio, but 32 4k with a slight scale is great for getting just enough windows and not being too hard to read.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the LG 4K UHD Smart Monitor for just a little while, but I can already tell that I am in love with it! When it really says "Work Smarter, Play Better" they really mean it. I love all the ports it comes with, USB Type-C, 2 X HDMI, 3X USB port, and LAN Port, it has so many different options. Then let's get to the tilt and height. There are the options that I have been looking for in a monitor. I work with a monitor that sometimes I just need a bit higher, tilted a certain way, and there are not many choices out there like this. This monitor has it all! The large screen allows you to do multiple things at once and that is exactly what I was looking for. Something that would allow me to multi-task, watch TV, and connect other devices.
