Wanted a 3.5mm mini jack to lightning converter. Was directed to its location and there it was. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. B and H is my one and only first stop for anything electronic or photographic that I may need.

So yes. First off this thing cleans up your audio from external mics very well. I've tried this on my motorcycle with the gain set to -10db and it turned out very clear (I am still editing that video). It fits nice and tight onto the side of your Action 3/4. Something to note....you WILL need to remove your usb-c access door to use this. Lucky for you, it removes easily by design and yessss it fits Into your camera while your camera is still in a cage. Another thing is you CAN use the usb-c port to charge your camera while still using the 3.5mm jack to plug a mic into while recording. - The 3.5mm jack is a TRS port so your mic has to have 2 lines on the 3.5mm end (not 3) in order to work with this adapter. - You cannot use the usb-c port of this mic adapter with a usb-c microphone as that mic will not work. If you have a usb-c microphone, plug it directly into the camera to use it. - the usb-c port of this adapter can be used to transfer files from the camera to your phone/laptop/tablet or PC or charge the camera ONLY.

This mic having both a 3.5mm jack and USB C jack is Key! I use the 3.5 when mounted on my camera cold shoe, with very short patch cord. But I use a long (33 foot) USB C cable when I put this mic on a boom and connect it to my computer. The USB C jack is a digital signal so immune to RF interference--dead quiet. A 33 foot analog 3.5mm cable would be way too noisy with RF hum. Running USB C right into computer is much easier to work with (and cheaper) than a full XLR setup (the usual way to keep the signal quiet).

Play 5 is great. Looking forward to experimenting with the 3.5 jack and my computer.

I was at first skeptical since this mic is much cheaper than others and provides all the accessories you need. But let me tell you. It all works very well. I'm really happy that it comes with both XLR and 3.5 jack hookups that way I can plug it into my camera when on the run or into a preamp XLR for premium sound quality. All the accessories work great too, Only the foam cover seems a bit cheap. but I use the wind screen fluff more anyways.

I'm using this adapter to get an RCA stereo auxiliary input to plug into my car stereo, which has a 3.5 mm stereo jack. This works exactly as it should. The RCA female plugs fit nice and tight, so I don't have to worry about the connection loosening over time. Great value for the price.

I use it to connect my Sennheiser G4 500 series and it has not let me down so far. I like the locking 3.5mm jack, make everything just a little more secure on a hectic set. One less thing to think about.

so just fyi if you adapt a mic with a 3.5mm TRS plug to XLR, heres a really useful tip adapting what looks like a 3.5mm stereo jack to a 1/4 inch jack to the XLR adapter you will wanna use a 3.5 mm jack to a 1/4 inch MONO jack. otherwise you will not get a signal. i know it seens like a 3.5 stereo jack to a 1/4 inch jack seems like what ya wanna do. And a lot of people make this assumtion, i did. Just figured id share this info for anyone who is trying to troubleshoot why they are getting no XLR input.
