Use Usb Camera As Webcam

I ordered this camera for a client to be used as a webcam. The 150 degree field of view was great for capturing 6 people in one living room and the stereo microphones set to meeting mode were great for picking up low voices and compressing louder, closer voices. Here's what they don't tell you: 1. I ordered the Zoom BCQ battery pack to extend the battery life of the camera for long meetings. The battery pack connects to the camera via the Micro-USB port on the camera (not a hot-shoe connection). The Micro-USB is the same port that is needed to connect the camera to your computer, so you can only use it for one or the other. Lame. 2. I found out after experimenting that when the camera is used as a webcam via the Micro-USB port, the USB 2.0 port on your computer provides enough voltage to power the camera. No batteries needed! That would have been great to know before buying the battery pack and rechargeable batteries to go with it. At least they were returnable. Overall, it is a great camera for broadcasting a living room full of people for a streaming meeting. Just make sure that the room is well lit!

Use this to extend control of a Camera and Telescope 100ft away in the garden. Telescope also has a USB to RS232 converter, which works perfectly over the extended link. No real complaints, it works as expected. Used to have a USB1.1 extender, but camera picture download was too slow, this makes a world of difference.

Really enjoy this webcam for work and personal use! Use it daily. Have one at work and one at home. Great quality. Microphone works great for others to hear me. Camera is crisp and others comment on how well the video is.

A must have webcam for various uses.

Needed to extend USB to my Logitech C930E Webcam. The 16' Comprehensive Pro AV/IT Active USB A did the trick nicely.

Works well on our organization's laptop. At the cables other end, has a Logitech HD webcam connected to it. laptop does not give an error message when using it. HD webcam is USB 2.0. USB hub is 3.0 on the laptop. No error messages when used.

you get video, audio, network, charging, USB hub and webcam - all running through a single USB C cable to your laptop. What more could anybody ask?
