I tried other adapters from the local box stores but had issues with connectivity and info transfer. Used the ATEN adapter and all issues were gone. B & H supplied us with the best adapter at a very good price.

i'm using this on a covered porch in northern illinois. it is mounted above the countertop of an outdoor kitchen and does not get any full sun. it is protected from precipitation unless there is severe wind. this tv probably has the best picture of any tv we own (65" lg & samsung, 74" sony; all 4k), even on very bright days. the sound is good from the built-in speakers too, although i have it hooked up to a 2 channel receiver. i really couldn't be happier.
