Used Fretless Bass

I am a bassist that plays a fretless electric upright bass and sings background vocals in several bands. Because I have to look at my fingerboard regularly to check my intonation, it's hard to use a traditional stand-mounted mic. I got a Shure SM-35 headworn condenser mic (phantom power required), but needed a way to turn the mic off when I was not singing. After looking at several switches, I bought this one and used it at a gig last night. It worked exactly as advertised - no noise, no popping, no problems. The only issue I had was a difficulty plugging in the mic itself - the input on the Power Mute was very tight and it took a rather strong attempt to get the XLR connector in to make a good connection and locked. It could just need a break-in period, but that was the only problem I had with it.

Seamless powerful bass. Used mostly with all classical music from opera to concerti to the oldies.

Used once for powering guitar amp, powered monitor, pedal board, and bass amp on stage. Performed well and kept the hums at bay. Long cord legnth and good plug access.

I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS , BUT I HAD TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR THE HK AUDIO POLAR 10. I USED IT FOR MY 4 PIECE BAND 2 VOCALS, ACCORDION AND A TOUCH O BASS DRUM. THE GUITAR AND BASS HAD AMPS AND THE SNARE WAS LOUD WITH OUT AMPLIFICATION. THIS POINT SOURCE POLE POSITION SPEAKER SYSTEM BLOWS EVERY TOWER SYSTEM I OWN. I HAVE USED BOSE ALTO AND HAVE AN LD SYSTEM WITH A 2 EIGHT INCH SUB,16 THREE INCH MIDS AND 2 HIGH FREQUENCY HORNS AND THIS SYSTEM WITH LESS SPEAKERS SOUNDS LOUD AND CLEAR AT ALL FREQUENCIES . IT EVEN COSTS LESS BUT IS BUILT LIKE A TANK AND DOESN'T WEIGH LIKE ONE.THE POLAR 10 GOES DOWN TO 38 HERTZ SO YOU CAN REALLY FEEL THAT BASS. BUY ONE TO TRY IT OUT LIKE I DID. YOU WONT REGRET IT. I WILL BE ORDERING A 2ND POLAR 10 SOON. MAKE SURE TO ORDER FROM B&H THEY WERE GREAT. MY SYSTEM GOT TO ME QUICK WITH ZERO HICCUPS. MANY THANKS TO B&H

Received mine today as a Christmas gift. Used it immediately and was blown away by the bass! The best news however is that it cured my tinnitus!! Well done JBL...At 60 years of age I finally have found true love!

Bass and audio are perfect for the guys that like that low bass.

I just would wish we could have more bass in the sound.
