Great little radios, so far. Good range relative to similar Motorola Talkabouts. 5 |

I use Motorola radios for communication between crewmembers when on video shoots. When our hands are otherwise occupied with cameras, lighting, and audio, this remote speaker/mic makes portable radios more efficient and useful. This product works perfectly, with good transmission and reception. 5 |

Used it for programming Kenwood and Yaesu radios. Worked perfectly. 5 |

Used on my Motorola smart phone to record music for church service. Wanted vocals to be louder than piano/organ. This did the trick. Very happy with results. 5 |

Used these in the Book Cliff backcountry in Utah on a packing trip 30 miles from any roads. I was very surprised at the reception and clarity. I was a couple miles away from others around ridges and rocks and trees yet still had clear communication. It wasn't until I was probably 3 miles away and separated by a few ridges that reception began to get "static." One excellent feature that the other high end midland radios don't have is the ability to charge with a USB and battery pack. Plugged them in each night and charged quickly with a portable battery pack. My other T299 and T295 radios that are marketed as "Outfitter" radios stay home because you can only charge them with an AC adapter - the cigarette lighter adapter won't work because they are not compatible with a 12v system. The one thing Midland can do better is to make a waterproof version because we were in snow for 3 days straight. Just had to be careful to keep out of the moisture which is inconvenient when you're doing a lot of communication. 5 |

Used to keep safe my PCB Einstein 640. Probably can fit 2 lights with radios. Foam have a perimetral layer (no cubed), This doesn't let your stuff touching the hard plastic. 5 |

Pros: -Clear audio. Used in primarily close range but at most was a football field's length apart and the sound quality was super clear—no static or fuzzy transmissions. -Good distance. Obviously the number of objects between radios can affect your distance but they transmitted between and through a metal barn, lots of cars, PA system, and lots of other interfering things, and I would feel comfortable having the radios farther apart and still be able to use them. -Easy to use. These radios have so many functions and abilities that it could get overwhelming but navigating the functions was very easy and the owner’s manual was clear. Not tested fully: -How long the batteries last on one charge. I tried to put it through the paces during a 6-hour wedding that I needed to communicate with my second shooter and the battery meter didn’t waiver at all, so that’s promising. If I were to add any functionality, it would be to add a backlit screen to be able to maneuver through channels with ease in the dark 5 |

I actually thought this was the wrong part based on the fact that the B&H price is MUCH less than most everywhere else. It is, indeed the right part. Used it to fire both my D4 and my D300s via PocketWizards flawlessly. 5 |
