I got lucky and got this on a flash sale. I needed something similar for my smaller tripods so I could mount any number of cameras on my desktop when filming demo films. I did not buy this with only my only my iPhone in mind. Sitting on a desk or table this thing holds my Canon 5D Mark II with 24-105 zoom super steady. With other cheapo tripods heads keeping the camera in position couldn't happen. The ball head locks in with a modest amount of pressure and doesn't require a gorilla to tighten it down to get a camera and lens that doesn't droop after a few seconds. For me there is a bonus that the top of the head pops up to hold a cell phone! This ball head is very well constructed and priced very well considering it's quality and I am very happy with it. FWIW, I am a long time professional photographer used to using professional gear and have a collection of commercial grade tripod heads... and I approve this product. 5 |
