Used this on a road from California to Colorado. Withstood 90mph on the hood of my car with a Canon 7D and a Canon 10-22mm lens. Their is really not one angle you can set up in or out of a vehicle. This is the primary purpose I use it for. I can imagine it being great for surveillance type work as well. Soaked up a lot of the vibration while driving, I tried keeping it under 35mph on a well paved road for more steady shots, that also depends on many other factors of course. Nice tool to have in the travel bag. 5 |

Brilliant lens !! I am an aviation photographer and just got back from a shoot in California with the U.S. Navy. Used it with and without extender without change in results. Is it a little heavy? Yes but I had no problem hand holding it for most of the day in windy conditions. It is expensive but one of the best if not the best lens I have used in the pro Canon line for performance and versatility. If you can pull it off financially don't hesitate you will not be unhappy! 5 |
