Used Short Throw Projectors

I've used several short throw projectors, from BenQ and Optoma, and this Epson is by far the best I've used. It's quick and easy to set up, the keystone is very easy to use, and the projector is very responsive - when the HDMI signal is present, it takes about a second for the image to show up. (In contrast to Optoma laser short throw which takes like 5-6 seconds for the image to show up)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking at 4K Ultra Short Throw projectors, and the specs on this one surpass the others on the market. The big question is *price*.

So far I haven't seen anything better in this size. It works well and it has almost all sort of connections available on the market. Meaning that it has a very flexible application area - even its still a sort of gadget. The LED system is definitely here to stay. I have used projectors for the past 15 years and the only negative comment has always been the relatively short lamp life. With LED its history. It surpass my overall expectations, but isn't near another LED pocket projector I recently bought: The Samsung P410M, which is incredible for home theater use. The Optoma wins on its outstanding mobility and ease of use. The picture quality and colors are good, but it has to be kept in the relatively dark and beam on something sufficient, even it will show a usable picture on most surfaces. Unfortunately there is a lack of small portable screens for pico type projectors - still. I primarily use one of the smaller white boards, which makes it possible to write comments or sign during presentations. Battery life is a little short, but its probably what it is in this size. Get yourself a 16GB micro SD card for it.

Having had previous projectors from Epson, I was blown away by the quality of picture, short warm up period and silent operation of this projector. Truly a major step up. Loving the laser light source (vs bulb) and the 4k is eye popping.

Fantastic and simple product for supporting Projectors. Used for over 90 chemistry and Physics classrooms at Military Academy. Safety Factor for projector support is 10x. Support up to 500 lbs. Cadets could hang from this support. As easy as screwing in a light bulb. Twist right into mount.

Used this to output a 3840x1200 DVD-D to two side/side projectors with edge blend. I adapted the output immediately to HDMI right off the outputs, then into HDMI/Ethernet Baluns till finally getting to the projectors. Despite all that, the quality and reliability seemed rock solid through all of it. Used MAC Mojave on a 2014 iMac with no problems.  The only hiccups was that I found it helpful to have all the devices powered up first, then connect the display port cable to the iMac, then the USB cable to the Mac. After that, open the EDID manager window to confirm or re-apply settings to ensure stability after a reboot. This may have been entirely unnecessary as it seemed to recognize right away, but trying a bunch of different resolutions during setup it seemed to be the best recipe for stability in a high stakes scenario. And I also purchased a longer high quality display port cable rated for that full resolution; I didnt even try the cable included because I read questionable things about that cable.

Used to convert from my blackmagic switcher to HDMI for projectors since most projectors don't accept SDI, but HDMI has length limitations. Does a great job, From camera, to switcher, to converter (and then through a hdmi to component converter) there was less than 1/4 second lag time. I think most of that lag came from the hdmi to composite converter as I've used HDMI ready projectors and the lag has been far less.

Used the NTG3 on a few short films, and was blown away by the clarity.
