A stereo pair of PLAY:5's is great. A stereo pair of PLAY:5's with a SUB is indescribable... you must experience it. And you don't have to crank the SUB anywhere near its max setting even in a large space like a 30 x 40 great room with a vaulted ceiling. There is NO vibration of the external unit no matter how high the volume; I'm not exaggerating... I set a glass of wine on it while "banging my head" and the liquid remains smooth as glass, zero ripples. The aesthetics of the unit: beautiful and small so it won't get in the way. I listen to a very wide variety of music at a wide range of volumes (hard rock, new age, solo piano, jazz, classical... pretty much everything but rap) and my SONOS system does all genres justice. Adding my SUB to my system took less time than removing it from the box. My only complaints: My cat spends less time in my music room now when I crank it up. I love my cat but a guy's gotta have his priorities in order. I'm anxiously awaiting a full-range equalizer to supplement the standard bass/treble/loudness/SUB-level controls. 5 |
