The build quality is amazing. I'm Australian, but I still find USA (that's American, not some dodgy asian state called USA) made products top shelf. Once setup (easy to do) it works perfectly. I bought the HD-2000 for our Canon XA10, and it only needs one weight. The HD-1000 would have worked fine for this camera, but I wanted to future-proof our setup. Overall, everything is perfect. The only thing I can flaw is a few spelling mistakes in the user manual!
