Using Cellular Phones Inside The Classroom

At $230, I do not know how much more one gets for phones that cost 2 and 3 times as much. I did see it on consumer Cellular for $ 150

Use this with JK Audio SportMix to interface with *newer* cellular phones. Today's Android and IPhones require a 4-conductor cable to work properly with the mixer. Simple replacement to standard 3-conductor cable. Works flawlessly with new phones for much better clarity over the air.

Using this as an instructor in Zoom classroom meetings and recording lectures. I don't have experience with microphone setup, and it took me a couple of Google searches to get it adjusted. Once I got it set up the sound was very good and got rid of all the other room noise and friendly family sounds. I also enjoyed the good price. Including photos of the side switch (official name mode switch?) and of testing with headset plugged in. My setup (for now): taped to the top of the iMac, tilted towards my voice, staying about a foot or closer. I ended up setting the GoMic's side switch to the middle setting. I tested this out with Zoom's Test Microphone and Speaker. So if you're new to this like me, hope this gives you some ideas.

These speakers are fantastic for the price point. Using them in our basement for turntable, Bluetooth to phones & a TV. Excellent sound & range. But the kicker was B&H getting them to us in a day without having to pay an extreme shipping cost. They were on time & very safely packaged. We greatly appreciate it!

Very versatile strap for use with cameras, phones, etc. Using the anchor links to attach this to whatever you want to carry and not drop is super simple for anything with an anchor hole (DSLR, Everyday Mobile phone case, binoculars, GPS). I don't use it much, but when I do I've been happily surprised at the size, construction, and use for it. (i.e., photographing on the open water, in a helicopter, hiking on a trail, etc.)

Using the adapter with the new Macbook Pro, working with SD cards (cameras and phones mostly). Plug it in, and it just works. If I have the SD card in the reader before connecting to the Macbook, I have to remove the SDcard and re-seat it. But other than that one thing, it doesn't have any downsides. Transfers data very quickly indeed! Solid metal shell, thick cable, and holds the cards firmly. It seems to attract every bit of dust/hair/pollen imaginable, so keep it in a case or bag when not in use. Would love to see StarTech have a molded slot cover for this adapter. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Using someones eases head phones on a movie or video shooting set is, well, gross. I noticed this when using headphones other than my own. If you've ever been on a indie film movie set, you are aware that filming in a home means you shut off the A/C and fans when the director shouts everyone settle. It gets hot real fast and monitoring audio made my ears damp from humidity. I began to think, who wore these last? Gross!
