Using Headphones With A Stereo Receiver

Using these with the Sony STR-DH190 Stereo Receiver and a Teac turntable, they deliver very clear high and mid range and do a great job overall in a two channel straightforward setup.

Using this to control wall speaker volume remotely to a stereo receiver in the next room. Works great working at line levels without having to have a huge high-powered speaker L-pad in the wall that eventually gets scratchy sounding and dead spots. Made by RDL which I've used in many custom installations in the past. Very reliable products, practically bulletproof! Had to get 2 for stereo.

I listen to my stereo receiver and also Premium movie channels. My wife and children (two 75# Dobermans) don't like the volume too high. We have a high end A/V receiver with only one headphone jack, and two sets of headphes with different impedance levels. Using a passive splitter resulted in one set of headphones being much louder than the other. This amp is the perfect solution. Small (important in an apartment), does the job with no perceptable difference in audio quality, and way less expensive than comparable units. I also like that the output jacks are in front. Makes connecting and disconnecting headphones easy. We mainly use the unit for home theater after our little one has gone to bed, so we can enjoy movies and TV without waking her. The only negative, and this is purely subjective, is that I'd prefer knobs to sliders, but it's a minor quibble. Highly recommended.
