Using Propane For Rv Refrigerator

I purchased the Delta 2 over the Delta 1 due to the expected longevity of the newer battery. I wanted something that I could take in my RV(without having a permanent install) and use as a power outage source to run a refrigerator through the night instead of a loud generator. It is amazing that you get 1000 watts of power, an MPPT controller, inverter, and a lightning fast charge time. The Delta 2 really shined during RV dry camping. I made a 200 watt solar briefcase out of two HQST panels from amazon and pvc piping for legs so I can place the panels in direct sunlight and track the sun position. I found the app super useful in monitoring the incoming and outcoming power. You learn what the power draws from each device is and can tailor the charging to maximize the collected power. I knew that my coffee pot and grinder needed 30% of the charge capacity so I always made sure I had that reserve in the morning. And the Delta's ability to run AC devices was amazing. My wife can run her hair dryer and doesn't have to sacrifice that for dry camping anymore. As the Delta charged during the day I plugged the trailer in to send the collected energy to the rv battery (actually by just turning the AC outputs on with the app), once the rv battery was back to 100 percent I was able to turn the refrigerator from propane to electric as needed until the sun light started to diminish. I found the Ecoflow Delta 2 to be super versatile and amazing value for an all-in-one system. The only two things I was left wanting was to run a 700w heater through the night and my air conditioning. But, having those features would require a much larger unit and I like the portability of the existing system.

Strong enough to hold up a refrigerator, I think. Fits perfectly, of course.

I have been holding off purchasing a gas/propane generator for my home for years, not wanting to add to the hydrocarbon burden. When I saw the Delta Pro and the reviews, I knew this was my chance. I've been using the Delta Pro now for many months and have fallen in love with it. It backs up my house and I take it camping on long trips. Simply the best solution to many problems.

This generator is very dependable and I have tested it weekly in combination with my Delta 2. It has run on propane only and I do not anticipate using gasoline on the Smart Generator. I have had problems with dependability when using gasoline on my other generators (Honda) which have now all been converted to propane. Don’t get me wrong the Honda generators are good and have served me well and will be used for other applications; however, the intelligence and integration of the EcoFlow products far exceed the functionality of other products offered. For this reason I will be including a Delta Pro in the near future to complete my backup solution to meet our home’s most critical needs during power outages.

I bought this (actually 2 because it was such a good price) to protect a propane Monitor heater from surges/outages. We rarely lose power, but at least once a month will lose it for less than one minute (sometimes only seconds). Just enough to have to reset all the clocks - annoying. This heater needed a motherboard replacement ($600) due to one of these outages, necessitating the need for a UPS. I had been only using the surge protection of the previous UPS's because they didn't have enough backup power to keep the fan of the heater going, this one has no problem doing that. Definitely worth buying, especially for the price.
