Using Wireless Speakers With Polk Magnifi Soundbar

Had a Polk MagnaFi Mini soundbar before and replaced it with the Roku speakers. They sound great and so worth the money. Sound quality and volume levels is so much better then the Polk soundbar. I would love to see Roku give us some upgrades to these speakers like a wireless subwoofer or add another set of speakers for rear surround. Seems like the system would be easy to expand on. I also can't wait to see what they do with firmware as time goes on.

We just set up our new Polk Signa S4 soundbar hooked up to our Samsung TV. The wireless subwoofer is easy to use. The quality of the sound is great!

Oh my goodness, I've got the whole house to myself on a Saturday and man, my Polk Audio MagniFi soundbar is absolutely brilliant and is rocking Van Halen Feel your love tonite and Little Dreamer with clarity, fullness and power absolutely blowing the windows out of my house.

I recently acquired one of the new Polk MagniFi Max AX high-performance home theater sound bar systems and am very satisfied with the overall immersive audio experience. My family room HDTV has to be in a corner due to a number of reasons, so rear speaker surrounds were not really a viable option because of placement limitations. Or so I thought. Anyway, after working with Polk support, I acquired a pair of the SR2 surround speakers. Connection to the ManiFi AX system was very quick and easy if you follow the included quick instruction guide. Each speaker only requires the supplied power adapter; they do not require to be hardwired to a subwoofer similar to most other surrounds. Each speaker has its own amplifier incorporated in the housing. And each speaker will “wirelessly” connect to the ManiFi AX. After installation, the ManiFi AX (it is connected to internet) displayed it was updating the surround speakers and not to disconnect power. I did have one self induced problem that was quickly resolved. There is a LEFT and RIGHT speaker and I had them reversed. They will work reversed, but the surround audio experience will not be optimal. Took less than a minute to switch their locations. Once setup I began to test out the overall effect by streaming both Dolby 5.1 along with Dolby Atmos movies. As mentioned before, my room setup is not optimal (see pictures) but sufficient to have the rear channels provide their surround effects versus not having them at all. These get me into the surround sound ballpark, just not front row seats depending on where I am sitting. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the completed system. Adding the SR2’s basically transforms my Polk MagniFi Max AX into the MagniFi Max AX SR. And in hindsight, it would have been more cost effective to just purchase the latter vs. adding the surrounds to the former.

I purchased this for my outdoor patio and pool with 4 Polk Atrium 5 speakers. 1 week later I added 2 wireless One speakers for the living room and master bedroom, setup was straight forward, great sound, app works well and really like the option to selectively turn on/off the music for each area.

I have this amp powering 6 Polk Audio 8" outdoor speakers.

This is my third pair of Polk speakers that I have purchased over the last 20+ years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to get the LG Soundbar S80TR and it was a game changer for the living room and for homeschooling! We have our tv mounted on a rolling tv rack so that we can move it around as needed. Now, with wireless rear speakers I can now move our tv so we can use it for homeschool course, educational movies etc. and actually be able to clearly hear everything! Before it was just the stutter and quietness of the tv or the sheer bizarre amount of wires. The AI collaboration is a godsend because no matter what room we are in, it automatically adjusts to it. It ensures the best sound, the best quality regardless of the dimensions/size of the room. Definitely made for a fun rainy day activity of karaoke!! Kids felt like they were in a club rather than at home! We could literally just pick up the wireless speakers and have a day outside if we wanted to. We tried it on the front porch, just to test the speakers honestly. It was clear, concise and proved how versatile they were. Granted they aren’t outdoor speakers but it proved the AI quality for us. The LG Soundbar S80TR is sturdy and definitely well made ‘most definitely a great purchase for any living room or home theatre. It would make SUPERB and easy upgrade!
