Utility To Check Windows System Files

Installed just fine. Increased system utility as much as Windows 10 allows! Use mainly for photo editing, software development, and various CAD programs.

Bought this to back up my PC files and create a System Image Backup for Windows 10. It works flawlessly, which is all one wants from an external USB drive. I like the case design - it has small rubber feet on the back which enables it to sit securely on my PC (or a desk) without slipping or falling.

The drive is exactly as advertised. �The Windows version comes formatted using the �Windows NT standard. �If you have a Mac and want a color other than black: �Buy the Windows version in whatever color you like and reformat it for Mac. � To do that, plug it into your Mac, and install the Western Digital Mac utility that comes on the drive. �Use that utility to erase & reformat the drive �-- you'll get an error message if you try to reformat it using Apple's Disk Utility if you have High Sierra. �It reformats quickly and - voila - you have a Mac-compatible drive. � If you want to retain the software that comes with the drive, just copy it to your desktop, reformat the portable drive, and copy the software back onto it.

Using the Mac Disk Utility, I was able to easily create both a Mac and a Windows partition to back-up raw footage and other video files. I always trust Western Digital and this product will probably not let me down either. It's sleek, quiet, and extremely fast with the USB 3.0. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I bought this scanner because it was compatible with Windows 7 and contained the copy utility which was lost when I upgraded my software for the Perfection 4990 scanner I had before. Overall the V600 is a great scanner with many very usable features. I like the button controls on the front as it speeds up the workflow. Would highly recommend this scanner.

This is a great value-- 5TB will give me the room I need to back up files and archive. This is not the fastest drive but I wasn't looking for speed-- just cheap storage. I was also looking for reliability. This is a good brand. Compact, rugged, and highly visible. Compatible with MAC or Windows. Make sure you use a dedicated cable-- USB C to USB C or USB C to USB A-- no adapters. I tried a USB A adapter on a USB C cable and my IMAC did not see the drive-- not even in disk utility. A regular USB C to USB A cable did the trick. It did not mount directly-- I still had to go in to disk utility but there it was. It comes formatted in EX-FAT but I reformatted easily in to MAC Journal Extended. I was up and running in minutes. I also plugged it in to a Windows 10 laptop before the reformat, and it saw the drive right off. A great purchase and I'm happy with the drive. It's no speed demon, but that's not why I picked it up. The drive is plug and play for basic utility. Worked immediately backing up my files and integrating with time machine. It was relatively fast compared to my G Drive that was only USB 2.0 compatible. Directions are non-existent if you want to do some advanced programs like partitioning. Need to go to web for those details. It meets my basic needs flawlessly and is good value at that.

This is a great camera and I've not been able to find anything that I don't like about it. You do have to load the transfer utility software onto your computer and use it to get your video files. This I was not used to as my old camera you just hooked it direct with the usb cord and it transfered without the added utility. However I do very much like THIS setup as the video files load onto my computer much faster now!
