First of all i'm no audio expert. IMHO this is one of the best portable dac/amp combo. Sound wise, this little thing produces clean, clear and crisp audio. Some people may contradict me to what i am going to say, but it drives my Senn HD650's to enjoyable levels of listening. Again this is subjective, as i listen in moderate volumes. No regrets in purchasing this.

I have been using the PST8 power station for about two weeks now to replace my $10 cheap power strip. I mainly bought it to attempt to resolve an audible buzzing noise in my headphones when connected to a desktop headphone DAC/amp. After plugging the DAC/amp directly into the PST8, the buzzing noise went away entirely. This was with both the digital filter outlet as well as one w/o filtering. Either way, I'm pretty confident the PST8 is delivering much cleaner power and that it resolved my specific issue. Happy with the purchase, although note this is much bulker than it appears in photos.

For the price this dac/amp is a bargain. I use it to drive my Sony MDR Z1R headphone and my Sennheiser IE 900 IEM. Wired connection sounds better than the bluetooth connection but all the features this product offers makes this a must have. Just buy it you will be happy. This is audiophile bargain

Splitting XLR from computer DAC (Schiit Gungnir) to headphone integrated amp receiver (Schiit Ragnarok) and to TV entertainment center processor (Emotiva XMC-1). Does the job with 0 noise or issues. Clean signal to both. Works!!!

it has a very quiet background , good scale & easy to listen for long . Has good choice of 2 filter ,one for little airy for instrumental music , other for a little close focus singer .The internal DAC does a fair job but my separate tube DAC which is just a little more alive in harmonic decay(perhaps little more distortion),little more resolving .Variable output is great directly connected to power amp opens up little more space.(the default remote setting is for amp use which cannot control vol.digitally . u Need to switch the remote to CD /SACD remote setting (press Enter +2 ). has not try USB but the bluetooth 5.0 connection has much a lag (disappointment )don't match the lip sing on my SAm phone Fold2 . Sound is subpar till I can get some equalizing from the app Will try headphone amp later. I bought this solely for SACD .I already have a stand alone CD transport .
